World Cup 2026 - North America Vs Morocco in fight to host

The USA, Mexico and Canada have submitted a joint bid to host the 2026 World Cup, but will face competition from Morocco to stage the tournament.

The two bids were submitted before the Thursday, 30 November deadline, as the competition to host the first 48-team World Cup heats up.

The next stage of the process is the submission of candidacy dossiers on 16 March next year, before the final decision is made by FIFA on 13 June.

The 2026 tournament will be decided by all 211 national federations, rather than the smaller executive committee. FIFA revamped the decision making process in the fall-out from Sepp Blatter's departure.

Russia will host the 2018 World Cup at the end of the season, and Qatar are scheduled to host the controversial mid-season tournament in 2022.

Morocco would be quite cool but this seems like an easy decision. And something the US will be just as corrupt in buying as Qatar despite our best thoughts of them.

Dont get me wrong im not against morocco, i was in casablanca (not fake disney morrocco marrakesh) earlier this year seeing real morocco, using their public transport, visiting their local Souks and just generally being the only white person in sight, and a hot one at that.
Luckily i can handle myself, football chavy yobs cannot and would get into a lot of trouble. easy kill some might say.

Also morrocco is poor as ****, and cannot afford that ****.

I had people trying to sell me plastic containers in Morocco, like what the **** am i going to do with that, at least try and sell me something i might want, but then they are so poor that they cant afford to purchase stock that would be desirable. And that is my point proven.
