TiBB Eurovision Song Contest: Minsk 2018
Friday 1st June & Saturday 2nd June

Official Wikia: Click Here!

It is almost that time to let the competition begin again! TiBB Eurovision is coming back for the tenth year in a row to coincide with the real life contest, as 4 of those times were done around Christmas; and its the first year under my control :hee: What songs will be read and heard? What will Rudolph and Augustine do this year? Who will be offended by Trump jokes? Will we get to freak-out mid-voting as another forum member enters the Big Brother house? Where is the constant translations into French? And when will we hear the glorious refrains of the female Bulgarian singer who sang gibberish? We just have no clue.

- If you want to take part, reply to this thread with the country you want! But please, if you do reserve a country, I expect an entry.
- As usual, all applicants must produce their own song. This usually takes the form of a funny parody of an existing song, or (in recent contests) original songs.
- Lyrics, an artist name and song title are all that's required.
- However, the majority of past participants have opted to include wardrobe designs, stage designs, and even an audio/video recording.
- Members may only represent one country.
- Given recent hostile surroundings, I ask that no members who're banned are used as subject matter in your songs :p - this rule has been in place since 2014 but hey, wouldn't you know? It's still appropriate!

You have just about 3 and a half months to create your entries (long story short: the contest is in May)... please make them as entertaining as possible, and please don't feel afraid to take part :) The more entries, the more fun it is to run. Songs can be about anything you like, and whilst we are fairly liberal with what is deemed "in good taste" obviously a song containing 30 different death threats may well find itself lost in my inbox and doomed never to enter

The winner of this glorious festivity shall also receive a supply of Anastasia Beverly Hills cosmetics this lovely little award, already shared by the amazing TiBB legends of Dezzy, Niamh, PJ, and Shaun! - http://cdn.thisisbigbrother.com/medals/eurovision.gif (this is a placeholder for a new award currently waiting approval, check your PMs Niamh!) - so if that isn't motivation to bring your A game, I don't know what is.

For more motivation, because who doesn't want to break Shaun's record of 321 points from Christmasvision 2017; the public will have more say as to who wins (a la Melodifestivalen). This year, the public will have their votes separated from the participants; and the public votes counted in an online poll will be counted and converted to points by proportional representation of the percentages.

Wizard. 13-01-2018 08:12 PM

I’ll be a judge and I’ll take the United Kingdom so I can make us win at least one Eurovision.

Denver 13-01-2018 08:12 PM

And ill be a judge if needed

Amy Jade 13-01-2018 08:13 PM

I shall wait and see whom is judging before commiting but I look forward to seeing you run this Josiah!

Josiah. 13-01-2018 08:20 PM

Thank you Amy! I'm excited to be taking the reigns from Shaun, and I know I'll be doing him proud.

Morgan. 13-01-2018 09:09 PM

Also since Riley took my beloved UK I will take Austria please!

TwentyOneThrones 13-01-2018 09:46 PM

I think I'll go for Italia this time!

Josiah. 13-01-2018 10:29 PM

Also, this year; postcards will mean more as I am suggesting that you make a video and/or take pictures of you making the flag of the country you are participating as in creative ways (a la Eurovision 2014), so I can make postcards look very pretty and unique.

I'm not forcing you all to do this bit; I can just use bits and pieces of the actual ESC2014 postcards in their place.

Epic. 13-01-2018 10:35 PM

Ireland

Vicky. 13-01-2018 11:54 PM

He's taking a break from it

Vicky. 13-01-2018 11:56 PM

Ah right I see. Understandable completely given how many games he runs

Niamh. 13-01-2018 11:58 PM

Josiah always helps him with anyway, so he's already a professional

Josiah. 14-01-2018 12:50 AM

Wow, 9 countries reserved and 7 judges spots chosen already; and this isn't happening until the 4th of May.
