Son, you need to understand that people have different opinions to your own, and even if you think yours are right because your circle of friends seem to agree, they may not be right.

Ann is an elected politician who put her neck on the line to exact change for other people whom she represents, its called democracy, its what got gay people rights in the first place - have a look around the world to see how gay folks fare in countries without that.

Ann has very much moved on in the last 25 years (when you were still a wee boy picking your arse she was working for that democracy). Wayne and Amanda have lived all the prejudices that you seem to like to lecture people about, that you have only read about.

Both Amamda and Wayne are in love and have partners, you have neither and maybe when you do, when you have responsibilities, when you contribute to society your opinions may change.

I wonder how your parents views on homosexuality have changed in the last few decades, how did your dad feel about gay people in the 70s and 80s, how did he vote is a very repressed and backward Australia I wonder?

You have shown that you are a very poor judge of character, that is beyond question so now its time to shut up and learn from those who have walked the walk and talked the talk

...ooops she doesn’t support all democracy and equality though, she just selects the bits of democracy and equality she wants to support...she supports feminism in some areas but then has stated she hasn’t felt discrimination herself for her gender through her own life and actively left the C of E church because she was so opposed to equality of a female becoming a Vicar...she’s a one, isn’t she..:laugh:...

people will only change their opinion on something through reasoned discussion. Its impossible to change a viewpoint by forcing it upon someone. Shane must surely know this. That is how rights have been changed successfully throughout history. I thought he was an intelligent individual, clearly he is not

I have to admit the Shane J storyline is getting very boring now...:sleep::sleep:

...I agree with you about ‘changes’..but I don’t think that reflects Shane’s intelligence being questioned because he knows and has displayed ‘the right and the wrong way’ in the house and has indeed received admiration and praise for the ‘right way’...all it means is he can get clouded with negative emotions sometime, so basically that he’s human..:laugh:...
