On a scale of Bear to Chantelle, how good of a winner would Shane J be?

Best cbb winner for a long time imo, maybe the best cbb c5 winner too.

A Sarah Harding - hated by some, loved by others.

Shaun 01-02-2018 06:53 PM

Chantelle at the top? Sis no.

No I'm just aware of Shilpa, Katie Price, Gary Busey and Julian Clary! Thanks!

Yea tbis
I'd also be worried someone like Bianca or Alaska was in a stronger series and didn't win or make the final even tho we know they're better

Marches 01-02-2018 06:56 PM

Awful end to a disappointing series

Jamie89 01-02-2018 06:56 PM

He'd be one of the best but that's not really saying a lot (and Shilpa > Chantelle)

Epic. 01-02-2018 06:56 PM

There's no denying he's been a big part of the series, but him, and by extension Ann, would still be an average result for me since they both have multiple drawbacks

Paula D 01-02-2018 06:56 PM

Worse than Bear by a mile

Shilpa and Julian were great (probably my 2nd and 3rd)! I did prefer Chantelle though.

poppsywoppsy 01-02-2018 07:03 PM

My favourite was lovely Shilpa

Worst was "open it" Stephen what's his name.

Vicky. 01-02-2018 07:05 PM

Same as in the other poll, one of the best BUT the winners are usually dire so that doesn't mean that much

Jack_ 01-02-2018 07:07 PM

Of the series I've seen enough of to rank, he'd go here:

1) Denise
2) Gary
3) Jim
4) Shane J
5) Rylan
6) Alex
7) Julian
8) Chantelle
9) Paddy
10) Scotty
11) Charlotte
12) Katie
13) Shilpa
14) Ulrika
15) Coleen

Oaker 01-02-2018 07:08 PM

Average I guess? I think he'd be in my bottom 10 winners though.

Gusto Brunt 01-02-2018 07:10 PM

Just awful. He's done nothing to deserve a win. He's hopeless and very boring.

Daniel. 01-02-2018 07:20 PM

Denise is the best winner.

Started well

Full of promise, seemed able to discuss with reason and humour

Then slumped for ages into boring showmance with the unlikeable Andrew

Then became a snidey gossip, tried to turn house against Ann but it backfired

Does these speeches full of PC cliches but is not actually saying anything new or constructive:
"People should be free to be themselves and we should all be nice to each other"
Well duh......

Conclusion?:

I don't think he is using himself to promote LGBT issues

I think he is using LGBT issues to promote himself

Thats an interesting way of putting it, and I think you might be right actually.

Yeah interesting talking about him with gay friends, how he makes them cringe

Saying those who appoint themselves as 'a voice for the community' - are usually just attention seekers

And it doesn't help the cause to have someone so stereotypical considered as a 'representative'
(the outrageous dressing, the overt sexual behaviour like flashing on launch night, the preachy tone etc - all the cliches)

Kinda conforms to a stereotype: hence the cringe
