Andrew thinks Shane J is a thing.

That just says it all.

He is a nasty piece of work.

I can't remember his exact wording, but wasn't it along the lines of "you're the best thing that happened to me"? It's quite a common turn of phrase.

Paula D 01-02-2018 09:12 PM

No no No, he said you're the best "thing" I've met in years.

I can't wait for this series to be over. I won't miss the countless threads picking apart every little thing the housemates say. In this case, i think Andrew meant that meeting Shane is the most amazing thing that's happened to him in years.

Oh... it's pretty similar though, he probably just got his phrases mixed up  I don't think he meant anything by it

Smithy 01-02-2018 09:19 PM

He’s been supportive of the LGBT community and of Shane/Courtney from the get go, I think you can forgive him stumbling over his words

Someone people are so petty, grasping at straws to bitch and moan

He's not good with words, but the sentiment was there

Paula D 01-02-2018 09:21 PM

Hilarious. If someone on here called Shane J a thing the forum would go into meltdown.

Such hypocrisy.

In the moment is a lot different to a thought out post on a forum, one can come out by accident when you trip over your words, the latter is though out and intentional

Yes, I agree. The forum has been hard work this year due to the constant negativity towards certain housemates, and the unending eagerness to misinterpret any words or actions of those housemates to suit a certain agenda.

... Well if you called him a "thing" it would clearly be used as an insult.

Andrew clearly meant it as a compliment and probably used the term "thing" to say that Courtney is better than any thing hat has happened to him in the past few years

But do, call 'hypocrisy' because people don't agree with your desperate reaches

supernoodles! 01-02-2018 09:26 PM

Oh come on .I did notice it too but I don't think he meant anything by it just didn't think about what he was saying properly or at all

BS, in the moment shows exactly what way a person is thinking.

Happens every year Vanessa? Maybe you just notice this year because you backed the wrong horse?

You just called him a horse? Absolutely vile

joeysteele 01-02-2018 09:32 PM

Good grief what a truly non event of a thread.

One of my all time favourite songs is one by Gladys Knight, its title.
' You're the best THING that's happened to me'.

What a pathetic reason to nitpick at someone

Vanessa 01-02-2018 09:33 PM

This year i was supporting three people : Ann, Courtney and Andrew. Two of them are still in the House :hee:

What's that got to do with It?

The song is not called You're the best Thing I've ever MET.

Two totally different sentences.

Horse would be a complimentary word for Andrew. Wouldn't compare him to such a beautiful animal.
