The Shape of Water

LaLaLand 27-02-2018 08:51 PM

Three Billboards, I just thought it was brilliant.

Though I wouldn't be unhappy is Lady Bird, Get Out or The Shape of Water got it because they were all very good.

I have to be honest none of those (although if I had to pick any dunkirk).. such a shame some other films have gone without a mention

Mudbound
The Greatest Showman (which I also hope wins an award for greatest soundtrack)

LeatherTrumpet 01-03-2018 06:01 PM

3 Billboards by a country mile

its genuinely not even close

Nicky91 02-03-2018 11:36 AM

Darkest Hour for me

Keala totally slays that song This Is Me, Hugh again bringing his A-Game like he did in Les Mis, what a versatile actor he is :D

RileyH 02-03-2018 11:43 AM

Never seen any of them

Cherie 02-03-2018 11:55 AM

Only seen Dunkirk, Billboard and Getout

Wizard. 02-03-2018 12:05 PM

The Boss Baby :flutter:

Alf 03-03-2018 03:29 PM

Not seen any, and have no desire too.

But I can tell you what wins

Spoiler:

The shape of water

Also Del Toro wins best director

MB. 03-03-2018 03:34 PM

Darkest Hour having more votes than Get Out, Lady Bird or The Shape of Water

Denver 03-03-2018 03:36 PM

Darkest Hour was fantastic

The Greatest Showman does not deserve Best Picture.

Fair enough if you enjoyed it but best picture contender it is not. :joker:

Baffles me enough that Hugh Jackman keeps taking on musicals and he can't sing. He just talks loudly in a posh voice.

Some celebrities attending the Academy Awards will reportedly wear an orange anti-gun pin.

The question is, will their armed guards also be wearing them?

andybigbro 04-03-2018 10:41 AM

Not seen any of them :worry:

That's like calling out the police for not giving up their guns.

The campaign is to not make them so readily available to any old mentally ill civilian. Obviously.

Nothing to do with people in jobs who are trained in using them.

Biased opinion - Get Out.

Genuine opinion - Three Billboards.
