CORONATION Street bosses are plotting the return of Nick Tilsley.

The Sun’s Bizarre TV column can reveal that the character, introduced in 1981, will be brought back this summer with Ben Price reprising the role.

Nick was last seen on screens saying goodbye to mum Gail Platt in June 2017.

It saw him drive off into the sunset after telling her he needed "a reboot" in the wake of his near-death beach quicksand experience.

A Corrie source said: "Exactly how Nick will be brought back into the fray is still to be decided.

Kinda glad he is returning, I like Nick

Why are they bringing back people that have only just left, first Carla now him?

Bring back Claire peacock! :fist:

Rob! 22-04-2018 09:22 PM

Urgh why?

Gstar 22-04-2018 09:31 PM

Didn’t know she was away

Marsh. 22-04-2018 09:50 PM

:umm2:

Talk about admitting defeat.

I can only imagine him and Alison King had one year without the Corrie salary and realised they couldn't live without it.

He's so... Dull.

Marsh. 22-04-2018 09:57 PM

Zeedan leaving after they just gave him his own business so Nick returns to take over Speed Daal and has a "comical" rivalry with Robert at the bistro resulting in an affair with Nick and Michelle?

Ross. 22-04-2018 10:55 PM

Mess

Omg this is exactly what's going to happen isn't it :bored:

I don't even like Nick as a character. He'd be better if they went full twisted buisnessman with him, but he hasn't got the personality to pull it off.

Ugh I don't like the character... go away!

That's it. He was dull. Kind of the "nice man" opposite to Peter during the Leanne/Carla sagas. Then his brain injury gave him an edge but just made him completely hateful rather than an interesting villain.

Something tells me Peter will find out the truth about Toyah and end up in Carla's bed again, then Nick returns and has a bit of a spark with Carla but then sleeps with Michelle (Michelle will do it because of Alex). Therefore Michelle takes Leanne's role in the square. Kate Oates did say she wanted to stretch Michelle and Carla's friendship to its limit. Even though they kind of already did that with her being married to or related to half of Michelle's family.

Howling at him saying that he was ready to leave and implying the show was taking his over his life and then being back within the space of six months. Betty's hotpot keeps them coming back?

Rob! 22-04-2018 11:21 PM

Mind you, if his return means that ridiculous quicksand story is forgotten about then it's not all bad.

It really was and I'm being proven right about my doubts over Peter returning. He's reverting to same old.

I'll give him until Christmas before he drinks again.

Ross. 22-04-2018 11:25 PM

What does Leanne do now?

Struts round The Rovers like she owns the place and stands behind the bar being sanctimonious to all and sundry.

Marsh. 22-04-2018 11:27 PM

Breast feeds her baby I think. She's kind of dull.

I wish she'd strut up to Toyah's wardrobe and sort it out. She looks a SIGHT.

What about Miss Toyah I was perched for her return but whenever I've watched she seems boring
