East Coast rail franchise to come under government control
[The government is to take back control of the East Coast rail franchise
after its private operators failed to make money. Virgin Trains East Coast, a joint venture between Stagecoach (90%) and Virgin (10%) won the right to operate the franchise between London and Edinburgh for eight years in 2014. Its the third time in less than a decade that a private operator has failed to complete its full term in running services on the route.] https://news.sky.com/story/east-coas...ntrol-11374723 Sign Of The Times |

I only ask because my mum just flew to Budapest and has a 4 night stay in a hotel. The whole thing cost her about £150. It is £135 for me to go and see my mate in Devon on the train :umm2:
