Romantic old bird 02/03/2002
Good evening everyone, and welcome to the latest edition of ‘Who Wants to BB a Millionaire’. :wavey:
Here's a little reminder of the rules. I will ask each question and will then wait for the contestant to post the answer. We would appreciate it if nobody other than the contestant posts onto the thread unless they have been asked to be an ‘Ask a Friend’. Any random posts will be immediately deleted. Each Contestant has three lifelines: 1 ‘Ask a Friend’, where you can choose one person currently online to help you. Once they have been nominated the ‘friend’ should post what he or she thinks is the answer. Admin cannot be nominated as ‘Friends’. 2. ‘50:50’, where 2 wrong answers will be removed. 3. ‘Ask for a Clue’, where, as you cannot ask the audience, you can ask us for a clue. We cannot tell what you are doing, but we ask you to behave fairly and not look all the answers up in the book or to cheat in any other way. BigSister stepped unexpectedly into the chair last week and scored an impressive 250,000 points. Quite a figure to beat. Today’s contestant is ROB. She needs no introduction and here's wishing her good luck and that her BB knowledge is as good as her story writing skills. :spin2: I’ll give you a couple of minutes to read this and then we’ll start. :flower: |
Question One for 100 points
What sort of animal was Paddy? A Cat B Dog C Goldfish D Chicken |
OK, I've had a major incident with a piece of burnt pizza, fallen up the stairs to cries of sad, deluded old woman etc, which is just OH's way of saying good luck, couldn't log on, couldn't read my name, so...........................sounds like I'm raring to go to me!
Ok, chocks away Ginger! |
Ok, note the deliberate mistake of posting the question twice, once with the answer still marked!!! - lol - you just can't get the staff these days can you. :joker: As it's only question one and stupidly ridculously easy I'm just going to leave it, but sorry ROB it won't happen again on the later questions. :dazzler: |
Erm, I think it was a little white doggy!
|
Well done ROB, you've taken that first step towards a Million. :spin2:
Question Two for 200 points What was the name of the building where Helen and Paul were usually found? A The Shack B The Cabin C The Den D The Hut |
I'm so glad I've got that lovely avator of Mr Clarke, because whilst I am waiting to read the next question, i can gaze upon his lovely little face. Eyes left!!!
|
Sorry!
This one is not as easy as I hoped! Well, I've heard it called the james Bond love shack, the hut and the den, but to me it will always be 'the den'. I really hope that's the 'official' title1 |
Don't panic ROB, the Den was indeed it's official name. :spin:

The eponymous Big G, but it was only on and off!

Correct. You're doing well. (I'm not quite sure he was eponymous though, what did he give his name to  - sorry, sometimes the ex-english teacher bit of me takes over lol)
Question Four for 500 points Which Housemate brought a Backgammon set into the house? A Elizabeth B Narinder C Dean D Josh |
Lee, I'm only a secondary modern school girl, give me a break! it sounded good, anyway!
The backgammon was brought in by Josh. |
It did indeed sound good ROB, as did your last answer. Josh did bring the Backgammon set in to the house.
Right, this is the last point you could leave us tonight with nothing. Big deep breath......... Question Five for 1,000 points What is Stuart’s wife called? A Shauna B Sian C Sandy D Sally |
The poor wee soul is called
Sian |
I seem to be having a few server gliches, so please be patient, and if it all goes quiet, I promise i'm not looking it up!
|
Well Done ROB, you are now assured of going away tonight with at least 1000 points, anmd you've still got all your lifelines left.
OK, next question..... Question Six for 2,000 points While she was in the house Helen often mentioned the name of one of her best friends from Wales. Who was it? A Rebecca B Rhoda C Rodney D Rachael |
Hahaha, Rodney, lovely girl!
No, it was of course, Rhoda, and she, sniff, sniff, sniff, MISSED her best friend Rhoda, because Rhoda was her best friend in the whole world! |
Are you sure she wasn't crying about Rachael, ROB?
Final answer? |
Oh, I think I'll stick with good old Rhoda, thanks!

Good job you did as well ROB cos as I'm sure you know, it's the correct answer.
Question Seven for 4,000 points How much did Josh say his Gucci trousers were worth? A £1500 B £2000 C £2500 D £3500 |
Oooh, the gloves are off now! I think it was £2500, a snip at half the price!
|
See ROB, I told you you didn't have anything to worry about cos it's another right answer!! :spin2:
Question Eight for 8,000 points What was the highest offer Amma said she had ever got propositioned with while working as a lapdancer? A £5,000 B £15,000 C £25,000 D £35,000 |

Are you sure this isn't the 1 million point question? AAAAAARRRGGGH! I'm thinking, but I might have to use a life-line here! |
Sorry ROB, I didn't think it was that hard. I suppose it depends what you remeber. Sorry.
|
OK, I don't think I am confident enough to guess. Can I have a clue please. This is not cool!
