I wouldn't mind but he has a tablet and has said he doesn't want one to ring anyone  Between pecking for a phone and being allowed to play Fortnite if he gets to 8 he'll be lucky at this stage

Honestly I wonder what the world would be like if there was no internet at all.

Maybe LT can help explain this one? :fan:

I saw a young woman yesterday with two young children focused on her phone; as I see many young mums these days. When her young son (about 4) spilt his drink and moved towards the busy road, where buses were regularly diving down, his young sister (about 7 or 8) grabbed hold of him and the irresponsible mother shouted at the girl to ‘watch him’ whilst she went back to her phone. The poor girl was upset by her mother’s comments - some women shouldn’t be allowed children. The sad thing is I see it quite often. So to some extent I would agree with mobile phones - but they are also very useful - it is just a shame so many idiots can’t get Their priorities right!

I've said this in other threads but I agree that some parents should get their heads out of their phone when around their kids. At a Beavers thing the kids were doing a showcase, and one mother had to be nudged when her son was up, as she was too absorbed in her phone. How bloody rude.
