A week long civilian series is coming?

It's going to be extended. When Endemol can sort out the correct paperwork.

The thing is, this would work if they were leading BBUK with a good CBB, but the reported theme for CBB is bloody rehab :laugh3:

pontyboi 15-06-2018 11:33 AM

Terrible scheduling yet again!

This will kill the civilian BB as people would have had enough after 4 week's of watching CBB plus the house will get a lick of paint then relaunch in a day or 2 which scream's low budget.

Why are people acting like there is a huge demand for Civi BB and it will die because of CBB ? CBB is now the flagship show and has been for years

Cal. 15-06-2018 11:41 AM

So in short: they’re relying on Katie Price’s sex addict ex and Chloe Ayling to save their format

CBB was the flagship show until they over exposed it. Last year’s summer CBB averaged 1.8 million which is less then BBUK could manage just a few years ago. Even January’s CBB has fell from 3.1 to 1.9 million. BBUK has lost just 200k over the last 6 YEARS in comparison, so is obviously the much more consistent and reliable show. If they put in the effort to bbuk, they could’ve easily made this next series special and it manage the same rating as CBB will likely get (but for longer).

Channel 4 is launching their new Reality Show "The Circle" in September... I think I will just watch that instead lol.

'Hi my name is Endemol and I'm going to bring BB back by airing ANOTHER CBB and including a bunch of desperate fame seekers trying to recover from being unclassified celebrities right back to Z Lister stardom! ...oh and also here's a bunch of random numpties, welcome to Back to Basics!'

Send our Steph back in!

supertv247 15-06-2018 01:36 PM

My theory: Channel 5 are ending the show and want the final final to be of BBUK, because ending with summer CBB would just be weird, so they’ve switched them

BBUK-Fan 15-06-2018 02:18 PM

If they actually improve the show with tasks, no outside contact and good promo, I don’t mind if they’ve switched

BBUK-Fan 15-06-2018 02:19 PM

If CBB wants any credibility, they can’t put on Chloe Ayling or Stormy Daniels.

y.winter 15-06-2018 02:26 PM

So many trash names being rumored around CBB... When will Josie Cunningham.

I'm a fan of the late autumn civi series schedule, so I'm fine with that (though I have terrible flashbacks to CBB8).
I'd like to believe it's better for whatever kind of UBB that *should* be this year. Let it die.

LukeB 15-06-2018 02:45 PM

I haven't read the whole thread but does anyone think C5 are ending it like they started it, with the whole summer CBB before civilian?

Denver 15-06-2018 02:47 PM

What if they are trailing it to move it permanently to Autumn if they keep it??

Stormy Daniels (while definitely not happening) would be the biggest name they've bagged in... what, five, six series? And considering they haven't shown much concern for the show's credibility for the past twenty one series, I doubt they'd start now

This is why I'm not opposed to this, like **** do I want BBUK ending with yet another run-of-the-mill series of CBB

This may well be the only good decision C5 have made in seven years of having the show

How tf is Stormy Daniels bigger than GoT actor James Cosmo or John Barnes, one of the biggest English footballers of all time? :joker: even if you mean politics wise than even Ann widdecombe is 10x more known in this country.

MB. 15-06-2018 06:17 PM

Yes, the mind truly boggles as to how the architect between one of the most widely-reported American political scandals of the past decade could be a bigger name than the guy who played Thelonius in Babe: Pig in the City
