Games that took you a while to get into

^

For me Dead By Daylight, I found it boring when i bought it but i'm addicted to it now, probably because Friday the 13th is dead and not getting no more content and Bioshock, i didn't like it but i'm enjoying now.

Mystic Mock 11-07-2018 11:54 AM

Doom 3
Resident Evil 5

That's about it really, I'm normally quite good at knowing if I like a Game or not.

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 11-07-2018 12:40 PM

The witcher 3 took me like 20 hours to get properly into but now it’s one of my fav games :flutter:

LeatherTrumpet 11-07-2018 01:01 PM

Kerplunk

Tom4784 12-07-2018 09:40 PM

Nier Automata, I thought it was overrated at first but now I stan.

Matthew. 12-07-2018 09:42 PM

i’m on the second last case of Maple Heights rn and in Pacific Bay i’ve just started Rhine Canyon today

Matthew. 12-07-2018 10:01 PM

anyone who wants a game with a proper decent storyline to it should download criminal case imo

GiRTh 12-07-2018 10:14 PM

Do you play Save the World and Mysteries of the past? Just started both building up my energy reserves :joker:

There used to be ways to automate all the energy collecting but can t find any suitable app at the moment.

i got onto the third case of STW in Germany, but I stopped because it was kinda boring but I’ll probably go back to it when I finish Grimsborough, which i can’t see being any longer than 4 weeks tbh because they take about 4 days to complete each

GiRTh 12-07-2018 11:31 PM

Yeah about four days a case. the characters really make it work though.

LukeB 12-07-2018 11:34 PM

I love Criminal case when I play, I also have save the world and pacific bay on my phone

Ramsay 12-07-2018 11:49 PM

Dragon age and Dark Souls
Took a good few restarts over the course of a few years before they finally clicked.

Shaun 13-07-2018 01:01 AM

I liked Criminal Case but it got so samey by the time I completed the first one that I deleted the 2nd out of boredom  (Save the World I think? The one with all the ridiculous stereotypes, lol)

Erm... in terms of video games... I remember being really squeamish about the violence in Mortal Kombat as a kid but then it became my favourite fighting game franchise.

Agreed; It sat in the wrapper for ages, I played the opening mission and maybe an hour of the proper game, and then actually stopped playing for months because I wasn't getting it at all. Then one day on a bored whim I decided to give it another go and now I still get a horrible shiver down my spine when I think that I might never have played it and missed out :worry:. It genuinely resparked an enthusiasm for gaming in general that was slightly starting to wane.

Also now adding Persona 5 to the list because I was struggling to be enthusiastic for the first couple of hours but I'm definitely starting to get it (5 hours in) and I'm considering leaving it til the kids are back at school so that I can dedicate proper time to it for immersion.

Lastly thinking waaaay back, when I first got FF7 on the PSX I had no idea Wtf I was playing, having never played any sort of RPG before, let alone a jRPG. 13 year old me was literally like "lol wot is this madness" for about 10 hours... And then I got ridiculously obsessed and jumped right on the "bestest game ever!!" bandwagon :joker:

You're still in the tutorial stage in Persona 5 tbh. It's like an 80 hour game. One of the best games I've played though.
