Controvercial new Netflix series "Insatiable"

Full season has arrived on Netflix today and it Looks like Mean Girls on steroids!

Its been all over the media with hundreds of thousands of people signing a petition to get it pulled because it apparently fat shames and celebrates being skinny which is bs. These snowflakes put this petition together from a trailer without even witnessing a single episode.

To these people I say **** off because it looks hilarious

21/100 actually but these critics have all jumped on the PC bandwagon without even viewing it seems for instance one review reads "an equal opportunity trainwreck" replete with bad jokes about rape and pedophilia, and offensive stereotypes of African-Americans, Christians, Southerners and gay people."

When did an entertainment show have to be politicly correct all the time? Bring back the unsanitary humour I say!

Its funny how Mean Girls is celebrated as a classic even though it contains the same stereotypes and themes makes me wonder if it was released today and not in 2004 would it have the same critical acclaim?

You're defending a TV show you haven't seen because you like the look of it :suspect: I see the level of this conversation...

Is it satirical?

If so, why the uproar?

Yeah its a satire but vaguely based on the writers personal experiences at high school.

People just love to kick up a fuss its not as if they made the character popular and loveable because she becomes thin infact the main character stays the same old bitter, hell bent on revenge queen lol.

I'm a bit upset at Debby for accepting this trash role but i know there'll be a reason why she accepted it

tbf scream queens got away with a quite a lot and its a very recent show. Maybe people are happy to turn a blind eye when the show is actually funny/good

But Scream Queens was diabolical?

Not to mention the backlash for this show came about before it was even released so can't be based on its quality (or lack thereof)?

JoshBB 10-08-2018 10:43 PM

Sounds like that particular critic has viewed the show rather thoroughly, actually!

(p.s. Mean Girls kinda sucks)

Earmuff girl and the black policewoman caused a chuckle or two but the rest was abhorrent.

Can't believe I have to endure Emma Roberts playing Emma Roberts again in the next AHS either.

I might watch this to see what all the meltdowns are about :fan:
