what are good ways to attract new members to the forum?

i think bit of promoting this forum wouldn't hurt, to attract newer members on here

also to keep our forum alive

so i'm wondering what are good ways to do this

Mystic Mock 19-08-2018 09:30 AM

Tbh we need new big mainstream Reality TV Shows to take off, the genre is dying with only a few left that are still going strong and only one of those shows is even young (Love Island) the rest are all over a decade old in shows such as SCD and BGT etc.

Also when you're a Big Brother Forum it would be nice to see them being managed well by Endemol and the channels that they air on around the world as it would entice new people to join places like here and DS a lot more.

Nicky91 19-08-2018 09:32 AM

well i just invited one of my discord server friends who was interested about this forum

i told lots of positive things about this place, that it has become a lot more than just a big brother forum

if he does sign up he will be the 2nd serbian member on here

Eddie. 19-08-2018 09:35 AM

Are we the biggest Big Brother forum btw?

what?

alls i mean is turn the forum into a weather forum

:hee:

LeatherTrumpet 19-08-2018 01:34 PM

Maybe we should have a poster competition

the winner goes on billboards and buses

(well not really but we could all make a poster advertising Tibb)

Like

"Got Tibb?"

and it would be a pic of say Biggins, naked, with what looks like a glass of milk...

:skull:

Withano 19-08-2018 03:49 PM

It’s a forum where 99% of the members join because they’re in to reality TV... yet some obvious reality tv shows don’t have their own subforum.

... also i think sd should probably go in to the private forum, it probably drives people away... then again its been alright the past few weeks... probably only because bb news was more interesting to everyone though

Posting interesting threads and content could be a good place to start

Marsh. 19-08-2018 08:07 PM

Good one.

You've created 17 threads it says on your profile in the decade you've been a member? Threads spark discussion. Shes created 408.

I've also been here longer and have a higher post count.

Come at me, bro!

But all of that is besides the point when I was responding to the fact that Josy thinks everybody else's contribution could use some work. Pot and kettle spring to mind.

I think the point she was making is that if members started creating threads on topics outside the norm/usual on TIBB, it could draw in more members to participate and in turn spark more discussion keeping new members around longer. If people make more of an effort it might liven up the forum.

Eh thanks for telling everyone including ME what I think from my post?

I was answering the thread question, I think more interesting threads could be a huge benefit to the forum, that wasnt casting aspersions on current contributions or saying there isnt any interesting threads atm just that more could help, I would personally take part more often if there was more posted (pretty obvious that most would)

But hey continue with that negative and hostile attitude towards my comments.

I simply pointed out the shady nature of your comment, as did someone else.

Deny it all you want, but it was.

Well, I responded to a tongue in cheek shady comment with a tongue in cheek shady comment.

But, yes that's me being hostile and negative.

By its nature your comment was negative, the forum has no interesting content apparently.

Twisting what was said again...

Anyway I've posted my opinion on the thread subject...

Do you actually have an opinion on the thread topic Marsh or are you just here to cause conflict?

Conflict? We're having a discussion?

MMI chose to respond to my posts, as did you.

I haven't twisted anything. Your post was negative, something I pointed out since you labelled what I had to say negative.

Our discussion is on topic. :umm2:

Matthew. 19-08-2018 10:05 PM

well i’m always starting interesting conversations, such as this thread and this thread!

nobody can accuse me of starting pointless discussions!

So basically rather than have your own opinion you want to just spread negativity about other peoples?

I'm responding to your post?

It's called a discussion. Try it.

In the discussion, I've provided my opinion. But you've ignored it in favour of telling me I'm off topic. Get it together, Josy. The topic is about the forum, we're discussing the forum.

Discussions calls for opinions not just rubbishing other peoples without actually contributing any of your own.

Edit. Nice edit there Marsh again saying a lot yet still not contributing an opinion.

Anyway i've posted my opinion on actual topic of the thread....carry on.
