What does happen to unused food on tv shows.

Dan seems to think he knows everything after 6 months in showbizz....

But i can guarantee hardeep was correct and bb would have given the rest of the food to charity.....just like all the other tv shows.

LeatherTrumpet 04-09-2018 12:03 PM

i expect the staff get it/eat it

Yes..but the raw ingredients are saved for the next show or given to charities..

Morgan. 04-09-2018 12:06 PM

Hardeep wasn't talking about the unused food, an di be.oeve it would go to a food bank. Hardeep was talking about the money that wasn't spent going to charity which wouldn't happen - it would just not be spent and kept in C5's budget

Aaliyah 04-09-2018 12:13 PM

Hardeep is an actual idiot trying to take the moral high ground with this issue. They won a luxury shopping budget so why the **** wouldn't they spend it? Also £400 between 8? grown adults for a week isn't a lot of money at all, especially with his **** cooking when no one can even stomach it and they all end up gravely ill off his chicken. Insufferable swine.

Elliot 04-09-2018 12:21 PM

God I feel bad for them they should get in a cook or at least let someone else take over the wheel

Robodog 04-09-2018 12:24 PM

It gets put into a balloon and released into outer space

LeatherTrumpet 04-09-2018 12:36 PM

his pathetic virtue signalling must be exhausting

BBDodge 04-09-2018 01:30 PM

The food is on the shelves in Tesco. BB don't have a storeroom for it.

You should write for the daily star with all the false sensationising you do....

I feel like it probably just get chucked tbh. People are so bloody wasteful and its wishful thinking believing that they might put it to good use. I use to hate tasks where food was used as probs and housemates weren't allowed to eat it because I just knew it was heading for the bin.
As for Hardeen vs Dan Hardeep was talking about not spending their entire budget because then the food will get given away. Which for someone so intelligent is a ****ing stupid thing to think.

parmnion 04-09-2018 01:57 PM

No it doesnt go in the bloody bin...dan was wrong....it goes to charity or crew.

Only it is though...just search "what happens to unused tv food"

You will see statements from producers of cooking shows like bake off and masterchef...

So laugh all you want multi...you are wrong.

tiger_greengrass 04-09-2018 02:32 PM

CBB isn't a cooking show though... so again, no credible source.

Unless a producer, executive, or someone from Endemol/CH5 say otherwise, it's put in the bin. Thank you.

No credible source so you are just wrongly assuming with no evidence. Thank you.

Anyway there's no credible source that says what happens to the food.

Marsh. 04-09-2018 04:59 PM

What unused food?

If they don't spend all of their shopping budget (why wouldn't they?) Big Brother staff simply don't use it.

Big Brother doesn't buy a supermarket and then give the housemates what they ask for and chuck the rest in the bin. They go Tesco and buy the items from the housemates shopping list after they've written it.
