Whenever they say Dec and Holly

I keep thinking of the song lyrics "DEC the halls with boughs of HOLLY"

I'll give them a solid 8 so far. It's not wooden and uninspiring like everyone tried to make out when it was first announced, and they worked relatively well together. I wouldn't be upset if this stayed on for future either.

It's only been one episode.

Holly hasn't adapted yet, but I think she's good.

It might just be a teething period but I just don’t think they work very well together so far

Hopefully as the series progresses they will work better together. Tonight was very much Dec doing all the work and Holly making faces/noises in an awkward response.

Holly seems rather nervous but give her time to calm down and relax into the role and she will be fab :thumbs:

But only because Dec is his usual fun cheeky chappie self , the score is average due to me not taking to Holly . I just don't think it works :rolleyes: ,but as some people have said it's the first episode so we'll see .

i voted 9 as i thought they were great but idk if i’d go as far as to say i don’t want Ant to come back.

could be same as bake off though, because the tea is that bake off is better on C4! but nobody thought it would be. but it is. and this could end up being the same idea

Imo they're both great presenters separately but you can tell Holly's a bit out of her comfort zone

The show felt very 'Dec' centred with Holly kinda relying on him, and I don't know if they're doing that on purpose or not
I think they can't do the banter Ant and Dec had and they need to form a new dynamic which should hopefully come to light as the days go by. But I'm excited to see them work together!

Dec was always the funny one anyway - Ant just had the experience of being on and off screen Partners with Dec so could react in a more natural way. Holly will warm to it hopefully.

It was very jarring but she was okay, I think they may have got her to play the straight man role and let Dec do the jokes

As long as they have some good running gags as always (The Chase one looks promising) then I'll be content. We'll see

Yeah agree with this but being real no one will have that dynamic, Ant & Dec have been a duo since they were teenagers, nothing can replicate all that time together and it would be a mistake to try so i think they made a good choice with Holly

it is what it is and i'm perfectly happy with it

Holly was great but Dec was trying too hard to impress the viewers and Holly, it was a tad embarrassing.

She was terrible. He had banter and she kept dropping the ball and having just a weird smile on her face.

Ant and Dec are far better together.

Holly isn't bad, but shes just not got the partnership the other two have or the jokes.

Well obviously she doesn't have the same relationship when she's not been best friends and presented with him for 20 odd years, what a stupid comparison to make

I think for her first job with someone so iconically associated with someone else, and knowing everyone will be judging her she did great, obviously it's not as great as Ant and Dec but it was never going to be, she was clearly very nervous but I think she'll warm into it a lot more too with reoccurring jokes too I think

Awful chemistry and idk what was stopping them from letting lady c host alongside dec

I think they are great,never seen dec laugh so much and look so relaxed.

tonight's episode has been so much better for chemistry! they are great duo imo
