RuPaul’s Drag Race UK - Coming 2019 on BBC3

Actually confirmed!

:omgno:

who wants to tell them it's a dead channel tho

But RuPaul’s Drag Race UK will be the first time a different version of the show has been created outside of the US.
Classic The Sun accuracy there...

Scoot 05-12-2018 02:46 AM

Drag Race Thailand was a collective hallucination!

reece(: 05-12-2018 03:11 AM

NOT BBC3

Morgan. 05-12-2018 06:06 AM

I'm going to assume the first season is a BBC3 special to test the waters before they decide if it's good enough for a main channel? Especially as it's only 8 episodes.

Denver 05-12-2018 06:18 AM

It will stay on BBC3 they have a lot of original stuff on there

RileyH 05-12-2018 06:58 AM

There's a BBC3?

Scoot 05-12-2018 07:58 AM

I'm assuming Ru is hosting this?

I'm hoping that the creative team that ends up working on it show a bit of creativity with the tasks and any twists are well thought out - with any luck it could be the Drag Race equivalent of BBCAN. I've found the last few seasons of Drag Race a bit stale production-wise :worry:

Omg yass

Braden 05-12-2018 10:28 AM

Eh, there's been so much hype around this, but I've never really been on board.

It's gonna take a lot for it to actually be successful, but then Drag Race itself started off as a cult-hit so who knows? Just can't see it taking off here like it did in the US. Drag culture is far more prevalent in America than it is here...or anywhere in Europe, tbh.

Black Dagger 05-12-2018 11:53 AM

It's literally on Netflix... A streaming service. Shut up pretending you know what you're on about.

Lostie! 05-12-2018 11:57 AM

Michelle confirmed that her and Ru are judging so I'd assume Ru would be hosting but it's not a given.

Perched for this to air at 1am on BBC One. Well they aired Killing Eve on BBC1 and Witless and they are BBC 3 shows.

zrc 05-12-2018 02:46 PM

Depends who they have as contestants tbh. Whilst the country has some great queens, it also has some down right garbage.

I'd watch it if it were on any other channel but BBC3. So I'll wait to see if they put it on later on the other bbc channels or on YouTube.

T* 05-12-2018 02:49 PM

I’m looking forward to the queens having a meltdown in british

T* 05-12-2018 02:49 PM

‘aV FOOKIN AD IT ROO I CANT TAKE THIS SHITE

zrc 05-12-2018 02:58 PM

:skull: the Americans switching on expecting to see 12 Charlie Hides all talking eloquently and singing live because we don't lipsync in Britain but instead turning on to see what is basically Geordie Shore; two queens tonguing and talking about rimming whilst another screams for a kebab

Braden 05-12-2018 03:18 PM

lmfao.

Let's face it, this is basically going to be like BOTS when they had random drag nights elongated into an actual tv show.

Nick. 05-12-2018 03:35 PM

Perched for the snatch game
