Election in Corrupt Congo (DRC) nearly over

Original title:
Fire destroys 8,000 voting machines in Corrupt Congo (DRC)

[A fire still under investigation has
destroyed 8,000 voting machines
in the Democratic Republic of
Congo's capital -- 80% of the city's stock
-- just 10 days ahead of a
presidential election, the nation's
electoral body and police said Thursday.]

Many have said the Corrupt President Joseph Kabila
who was meant to have a Election last Sunday
is making sure he stays in power.
Its called the Democratic Republic Of Congo
but thats like a joke.

Congo has No Democracy at all

What do you think of republicans limiting voting machines and places, Arista? Sure, they didn't set them on fire, but the ends were exactly the same.

[Oxfam has said it is suspending its Ebola
outbreak response work
in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC)
due to violent protests by people barred
from voting in the presidential election.]

Not good - but with shooting at their tents
they had no choice.
The Election is today
but 3 main cities have not been included.

Not the USA. Democrats aren't trying to prevent anyone from voting, it's only the republicans. What's the difference between the 2 situations other than fire?

No the Congo (DRC)
matters more.

Results will be on January 15th.

[The vast central African state is rich in mineral resources
and is the world's leading producer of cobalt,
used to power mobile phones and electric cars.
However, it has high levels of poverty, bad infrastructure,
and a political and business elite accused of enriching
itself at the expense of the poor. ]

Because Arista is one of our most prolific (and most valued) thread starters - and therefore one of our busiest members, why don't YOU start such threads?
I will be pleased to contribute.
