Black Panther was Robbed :fist:
|
Bohemian Rhapsody winning best drama was quite a big surprise.
|
Not seen the performance, but would not be surprised at all if they give Glenn Close the oscar as well... just because she should have had one before now and lets be honest she is not getting any younger so they might think this is her last chance.
Really glad Bohemian Rhapsody won some awards, hopefully its an indication for the oscars as well.... I dont see it winning best picture, but fingers cross for Rami for best actor as he was fantastic in the role. |
Not seen any of them.
|
haven't seen any of the winners (bar best song for A Star is Born)
|
Literally every film was better than BR, a dirty mess @ it winning
|
Best Actor and Actress were most definitely deserved(could make a claim for Gaga too I guess). As was Best Musical/Comedy Actor and Actress. Best Movie and Comedy/Musical is very dubious though, but I’m here for the surprise wins tbh.

Sandra, Regina, Glenn and Olivia's wins >>>>
Carol Burnett's honour is well deserved too, a living legend. REALLY hope Glenn wins the Best Actress Oscar now, she's been nommed more times than most yet never won whilst being continually outstanding, it's her time, criminal that she's never won one. The movie is very fitting in today's society too and with all that's changing in favour of women. |
Pretty good results all round! The only changes I'd make:
Supporting Actress - Emma Stone Animated Picture - Isle of Dogs Actress Drama TV - Julia Roberts |

Belonged in the comedy category. |

Utterly ridiculous that BR won, it's not a bad film, a solid 7/10 with a 10/10 performance by Rami but for it to win best film is just pandering to it's popularity rather than basing the winner of the merits of the actual film.
