So, I haven't watched live televised news for years and...

OK so I rarely watch live TV at all and haven't watched a news programme for years because its biased nonsense anyway, but today it's on in the background and...

... Are they really scrolling through a phone and reading out stories from the website?? Saying things like "aw here's a nice story to cheer us up with all this other bad news"? Half the screen is a chrome cast of the presenter's phone and the other half is just her scrolling with her thumb!

What has happened. It didn't used to be like this. Ludicrous.

I just wait for arista to post on here.

Niamh. 01-04-2019 08:56 AM

Yeah don't watch the news on TV either. I usually hear it the radio if I'm driving

LeatherTrumpet 01-04-2019 09:01 AM

The telegraph send me news alerts on my phone too

Toy Soldier 01-04-2019 09:02 AM

I'm enjoying the dramatic music over the summary though. It sounds like a Dwayne Johnson movie.

Toy Soldier 01-04-2019 09:03 AM

And I like that the anchor has come dressed as Draco Malfoy.

our dutch breakfast news show is funny whenever producers mess up some things like awkward camera shots

but overall it is quite nice, Jan De Hoop is such a sweet news presenter, he also does some cute vlogging himself, about all of his pets at his home or whenever there is a nice Sunny day he'll show us how he spends that day in the sun :hee:

Nicky91 01-04-2019 09:06 AM

:clap2: here is one of those vlogs, where he also stood in as weather presenter for a day

he has been our news presenter for 25 yrs now

.......... Are there legitimately people spending thousands of pounds on diamonds by phoning in to TV channels?

Cherie 01-04-2019 09:16 AM

I only watch the London news if I am in front of the TV when it is on, other than than I listen to the radio when working, what channel are you watching?

It was BBC news so pretty much the worst. I'm now watching a minimum wage worker trying to hardsell diamonds to pensioners thanks to LT.

bitontheslide 01-04-2019 11:41 AM

i gave up on TV news a while ago. I did tune in to bbc news when they were waiting on a night of brexit amendment votes. The people they had on as "experts" were just plain silly, and the whole coverage was a farce on a farce

That was not a normal news programme you watched. They have some "interactive" programmes with news a couple of times a day.
A regular bulletin still is what it used to be.

It was :suspect: it was the main morning news. I switched to a channel called "Gems" at LT's suggestion. They were selling massive diamond cluster rings for £600. I feel they may have been trying to dupe me. I think LT is probably involved somehow.

BloonbergHD and CNBC HD
gives live markets
everyone has them on

And in USA CNBC HD
has subtitles on while in the live
NYC Stock market area.

More folks are now watching Live
the UK Parliament Channel
but it is still not in HD.

With HD you can get better viewing.
Of course with 4K even better

SkyHD has the Most Live News Channels.

Was it embedded in a large morning programme?
Either way, it doesn't sound like a proper news programme, TS. I still watch them from time to time. Though must agree BBC output is not the best these days. Idk what happened to them. But Emily Maitlis and Kirsty Wark are still very watchable on Newsnight.

they lost millions to sir cliff, so they have weaker budgets now

i had watched bit of BBC Breakfast, and honestly i like it but yeah as for the news where i watch it is RTL + or Sat.1 german channels, they present the news in such a nice comfortable way from a sort of ''living room'' guten morgen deutschland is it called, where they discuss the normal news and also the showbiz news

No 2S you're not listening :fist:. I was initially watching the news, and then LT told me to go to channel 665 to buy him diamonds, and I changed the channel.
