If he's the right man for the job, great! If not... then no.

Matthew. 29-05-2019 09:37 AM

Oh jesus not James Cleverley he’s a right slimy tit, makes my skin crawl. Better not be him

joeysteele 29-05-2019 09:38 AM

Crumbs..
The list is getting bigger but the choice worse in my view.

Cleverly is awful too.

Apart from Rory Stewart, Matt Hancock and Sajid David and possibly Hunt.
I wouldn't entertain the others.

If I was a Conservative, I'd be supporting Rory.
In fact he could perhaps get people like me back.

He's just been on TV and said as to social care for the vulnerable and elderly.
He'd rather have that with the NHS taken out of party politics.
With consensus on securing the best for that.

Something I've always agreed with.

Compared to the ugly divisive rhetoric of Farage and co.
That is like a wave of fresh air entering the room of politics.

So far
it's Boris Johnson with the big backers

Livia 29-05-2019 09:39 AM

I think that pretty soon, there will be more MPs in the leadership bid than there are out of it.

Oliver_W 29-05-2019 09:40 AM

Rory Stewart is my favourite on the list.

And mine. He's a bit of a dude. Did you know Brad Pitt wants to make a film of his life so far?

arista 29-05-2019 09:43 AM

Labour Party do not want Rory Stewart.

The Whole Race
needs to speed up.

Actually it initially read, "I think, joey..." and then someone posted after you so rather than go back and quote you I just took your name out LOL..

Vicky. 29-05-2019 09:44 AM

I would go for Stewart of those.

However, anyone with a bit of sense would surely run a mile from this, a short term position thats soley to stop the future leader having the brexit thing hanging over them if it all goes south. Its the same as it was when May stepped up tbh, she was never going to be a longterm leader, and she would probably still be ambling on if not for quite how badly she did it. So now, they need someone else to take the crap, before electing the proper leader afterwards.

I've read that too.
He has a fascinating story of his life, it would be interesting.

I can't see them making a film about any of the other contenders, can you? In fact I'd pay not to have to sit through a film about Boris.

Crikes, I didn't know that! He's lived one heck of a life, which is more than you can say for almost any mainstream politician right now.

bitontheslide 29-05-2019 09:57 AM

i'm going to stick my neck out and say that the candidate that promises a new referendum will get the job

Hmm.... I think it's split down the middle. Half of them will be alienated if a new referendum is promised, and half of them will be alienated if it's not promised.

A remainer just destroyed the country so the job is defo going to a brexiteer

Livia 29-05-2019 10:26 AM

I think it'll be a Brexiteer too.

Liam- 29-05-2019 10:28 AM

Anyone but Johnson or Leadsom, preferably Rory

Toy Soldier 29-05-2019 11:31 AM

It's a career-ender so hope it's your least favourite and then in a couple of years, you'll never have to hear from them again.
