A suggestion relating to games

I think it would be good if we get rid of the rule of having to wait to run a game. Some games are not even halfway through and have been going on for months and games that have full sign ups and different casts then have to wait till it’s finished and when the game happens once a week that means they will have to wait months to start. A suggestion would be to just let whichever game someone wants to host whenever. Just a thought!

I have already brought this up in admin for you but noones answered yet as people have not really been on besides me but I agree.

I am sure, when proposing games you are meant to have a run time, and IMO 3 months long for a game that seems not even half way through with how many members are still in is..ridiculous. Especially when other games are waiting for them to finish.

Yeah exactly, and especially when editions very similar to the game only finished before it. It’s fair to have a different type of game and a new host to have its turn!

x factor game is done by tomorrow i guess when results are up, so i think one game can take that place to run besides strictly game

but i'm no admin so idk

I agree. It seems strange to not want more games in at the same time.

There was 5 things currently running not including the game that you keep mentioning. We cant have unlimited games running at the same time, it makes no sense especially when theres a lot of the same members that take part in most things.

This was all explained to you yesterday.

It's ok my game will be over in like 4 weeks and then won't be happening again. I really don't enjoy this forum and the bitterness of it

That's sad to hear, just put people who upset you on ignore and continue to enjoy the forum.

Does that mean none of their comments come up. Ooh that could change a few things!

Strictly Jake 03-06-2019 02:56 PM

Thanks for recommending that to me Josy I have ignored all those who have wound me up recently and I'm sure the forum will be a more pleasant place to be for me now. It wasn't actually that many people which goes to show how many people I like on here. Now those that aren't so nice are on ignore ill be able to stick around

You can't read their comments, but you get a 'X has posted' type thing in place of their post. So its annoying and not really ignore. there used to be a way to totally disappear the person though by using addons..will try to find it. Might not work now though

It's ok as long as I can't see their comments it won't be possible for them to wind me up so job done. Thanks

Good, as I cannot find the script it seems.

Yeah, can't see their comments, but can see that they have posted and get the option to view each post manually.

A downside though is, if someone else quotes the post, you will see it then, which is why people used to use scripts for ignore lists as those get rid of quotes too..

I do feel there shouldn't be a games clash and should be given slots on when to host them and how long they can be on for. So like if Survivor was on games like The Challenge etc can't be done until Survivor has finished. I see Strictly and DOI different because that happens every few days and doesn't takes up a lot of time but even they should have a duration time.

I remember when Morgan was hosting OTT3 because he booked it for Feb but when that started loads of games suddenly appeared and it seemed people were tired of playing games so they weren't that active, i felt really sorry for him.

But when they were loads of games happening it was a big mess.
