Milk first or water first with tea?

This can make or BREAK a cuppa!

Epic. 14-06-2019 11:12 PM

Water first of course, it's been proven by numerously reliable online sources

Milk and I WILL fight people on this!

Tony Montana 14-06-2019 11:12 PM

Water first by far.

Jessica. 14-06-2019 11:13 PM

ALWAYS WATER FIRST, but the tea bag still has to be in so if I put in too much milk I can let it brew a bit longer.

Firewire 14-06-2019 11:13 PM

Always water first to let it brew then add the milk.

Water first, if anyone puts milk first their brain is as clogged as the teabag!

Dogeatdog 14-06-2019 11:14 PM

Water first definitely.

Water.

But if you’re using milk alternative (my mum uses Soya) then the milk first otherwise it can curdle and that’s even worse.

This is very useful. I've been experimenting with different milks.

We always used to put the milk alternative in after the water and got mixed results - usually depends on how hot the water is, how long you leave it to brew, how much milk you add etc. But it was only when I noticed on the Asda Smart Price Soy Milk it had a little note which said to add milk first to avoid curdling that she started to put the milk first, to better results.

I’m-

So you have the kettle in one hand, and the milk in the other, and your pouring them at the same time? So do you have 50% water and 50% milk?

Ant. 14-06-2019 11:20 PM

hot water in
then i put sugar in
then i put the tea bag in
then i let the dogs out and clean up their p**
then i i wash my hands
THEN i put the milk in
then i walk up the stairs then down to pass time
then i take the teabag out

Citizenship should be revoked for those who use milk first

LaLaLand 14-06-2019 11:38 PM

Milk must go last! Paul Burrell said.

1. Tea bag
2. Water
3. Tea bag out once it's so strong you can't see the tea spoon in the water
4. Milk
5. Sugar
6. Stir
7. Tap teaspoon on the cup making a little tune
8. Drink

:joker:

Jake. 14-06-2019 11:39 PM

Water because you can tell how strong the tea is by putting the milk in afterwards

Niamh. 14-06-2019 11:39 PM

Water, only take a tiny drop of milk
