I do agree that Khan is terrible and is allowing it to happen without intervening

I don’t understand what people want Khan to do, it’s not his fault that people are getting stabbed

And it’s no surprise that Trump is paying attention to the British Laura Ingraham

Complaining about a past administration does nothing to fix the problems of the current one.

Also blaming Khan for the violence in London is shortsighted and transparent. There's only so much a person can do, police budgets have been cut across the board so you can't have more of a police presence if you want it and it's not like Khan can change the law to make these crimes come with harsher sentences either.

Everything a mayor can do is limited by budget constraints which are decided by the government.

Hopkins' comment about 'Londonistan' is nothing short of racist.

Me and Mrs TS were discussing this earlier: NO IDEA how she manages to continue to have a platform with that sort of quite blatant hate speech. These social media platforms are an utter sociological disaster in my opinion and something HAS to change in their T&C's.

I also think Trump is (as usual) confused about the entire situation and how it works. As far as I understand it, City Mayors in large US cities have FAR more power / authority than is the case here. He's assessing Khan as though he has the executive power of a US city mayor, which does include quite a bit of sway with things like by-laws and policing, when that just is not the case with the Mayor of London.

The problem is banning guns and knives wont solve the problem it's the mindsets if the youth that has to change

Somewhat more worrying is that I'm entirely sure that Katie Hopkins DOES know fine well how it works, yet she chooses to deliberately and disingenuously lump the blame for crime in London on Khan because of his name and skin colour, as that benefits her "immigrants bad" narrative.

It's just another case of Trump blindly believing the extreme right wing. Trump doesn't care, he just wants to pander to his base with an election coming up, and this does the job. There really isn't anything deeper in it than that.
