Strawberries, the summer fruit, what's your preferred way of eating them with

mine is usually in either homemade chocolate pudding/flan as you guys call it in english i think or vanilla flan

or on a sandwich with some sugar :hee:

i'm having mine from my own garden :flutter: which are much tastier than here in our supermarkets which are sooo watery and soft

and you should be able to slice them still :)

Niamh. 17-06-2019 01:57 PM

In a glass of prosecco

LeatherTrumpet 17-06-2019 01:57 PM

bitontheslide 17-06-2019 02:02 PM

I don’t like cream :oh:

Liam- 17-06-2019 02:28 PM

And the milk at the end tastes like strawberry as well so bonus

LeatherTrumpet 17-06-2019 02:28 PM

I find them a show off fruit and wont encourage their precocious nature

I find a banana more honest and conservative

or your pear - simple, local

smudgie 17-06-2019 02:34 PM

Best strawberries ever were from my Nana’s big back garden.
Two strawberry patches to choose from.
But they have to be eaten as they come, just washed.

Kazanne 17-06-2019 02:55 PM

Love strawberries just as they come, but prefer a banana.

Morgan. 17-06-2019 02:57 PM

Strawberries in a sandwich :omgno:

I will put them in milk, but only if there’s cereal in the bowl too.

But I’ll either eat them from the box or with ice cream

Calderyon 17-06-2019 02:58 PM

I like raspberries more.

I either just eat them as they are, or dip them in sugar. Nowt better than the little bits of pink sugar mix left after dipping a bunch of strawberries. Someone should start selling that in shops

Kate! 17-06-2019 03:16 PM

With a sprinkling of sugar and a scoop of icecream

Plain out of the pack usually.

Cream/sugar is nice but I'm slimming so that's not an option :joker:

Livia 18-06-2019 10:56 AM

They have to be so ripe, another hour and they'd go off, and I just eat them as they are. Although with cream is nice too.

i prefer them when they got a nice light red colour, nothing in the dark red then they are watery and you can't slice them anymore

i had them yesterday in vanilla-yoghurt (it's a sort of yoghurt but not as sour)

but yeah strawberries and cream is a classic combination :)

Toy Soldier 18-06-2019 11:23 AM

With cream and a light sprinkling of sugar and the rest of you are perverts.

On a sandwich Nicky?

...a sandwich.

On bread.

i more put them on toast rather than a normal piece of bread i must admit

or a something drier such as what we call ''Beschuit'' the same sort of crunchy thing what you have each time a baby is born ''beschuit met muisjes'' sort of fruit flavoured sprinkles

beschuit with strawberries and sugar is also quite nice :)
