Rugby star Israel Folau launches attack on TRANS PEOPLE now

Rugby player Israel Folau has launched another blistering attack on gay and
trans people during a sermon at a church in Sydney.

The former union star,
who was sacked for his inflammatory views, said same-sex marriage was
wrong and also criticised young people for being allowed to change gender.

The disgraced sports star claimed the devil was behind the moves, which he
said are against the teachings of God. He made the remarks in his sermon at
The Truth of Jesus Christ Church in Sydney on Sunday. After a backlash in
Australia, he remained defiant and on Monday took to Twitter to say people
need to please God, rather than man.

Folau, 30, told the congregation: ‘This is what the devil is trying to do, to
instil into the government, into this world, into society, and it is slowly
happening. ‘The sad thing is why a lot of people out there that are non-
Christians say bad things about the church, is because a lot of the churches
allow those things to happen. ‘They say that a man and a man should be able
to be married and there is nothing wrong with it. This buys into the theme of
pleasing man rather than pleasing God and standing up for the truth.’ He
added: ‘They allow young kids to have permission to change their gender if
they want, by taking away the permission of their parents.’

Rugby player Israel Folau, who was sacked by Rugby Australia (RA) for criticising gay people, has appealed for public donations to help him legally contest his dismissal.

Folau, a 30-year-old star full-back, had his contract terminated in May after posting on social media saying "hell awaits" gay people.

The devout Christian argues his firing was unlawful and an act of religious discrimination.

RA says he breached a code of conduct.

The former Wallabies player has drawn widespread condemnation for his social media comments, but he also has vocal supporters.

On Friday, Folau released a video to launch a crowd-funding campaign aiming to raise A$3m (£1.6m; $2.1m) for his legal case.

He filed a case against RA and Rugby New South Wales at the Fair Work Commission - Australia's national workplace relations tribunal - earlier this month.

"Every Australian should be able to practice their religion without fear of discrimination in the workplace," he says in the fundraising video.

"Even people who don't share my beliefs have defended my right to uphold and express them."

"If you want to join this journey with me, to fight for the right to freedom of religion, please donate."

Folau has played 73 Tests for Australia and was estimated to be on a contract worth A$5m. He owns a multi-million dollar property portfolio in Sydney and Brisbane, Australia's Daily Telegraph newspaper reported.

Folau said he and his wife had already spent more than A$100,000 on legal fees, after engaging a top legal team.

RA has consistently defended their firing of the star full-back, saying he breached player behaviour standards "including respectful use of social media".

It had previously warned Folau over anti-gay messages he had posted on social media in the past.

In May, chief executive Raelene Castle said RA had terminated his contract to "stand by our values and the qualities of inclusion, passion, integrity, discipline, respect and teamwork".

Folau also lost sponsorship deals with companies including car manufacturer Land Rover and sportswear brand Asics.

He could be seeking up to A$10m in damages through the Fair Work Commission, media reports say.

A big old rugby player, great at sport, probably not so great at much else, speaks like a bigot. Have none of you ever been to a rugby club?

If he believes in Jesus, His message, as far as I understand it, was love each other. I think he missed that memo.

he is basically looking for crowd funding to promote hate speech

Update :

Israel Folau GoFundMe Campaign Shut Down By Site

The GoFundMe campaign set up by Israel Folau to help fight his battle with Rugby Australia has been removed by the crowdfunding platform.

According to GoFundMe Australia, Folau’s campaign violated its terms of service and as a result, the campaign has been taken down and all money raised will be returned to the donors.

Before the campaign was taken down, Folau raised over $700,000 (Australian Dollars) in just a few days – he was looking for a total of $3,000,000 to fight his campaign against Rugby Australia.

“After a routine period of evaluation, we have concluded that this campaign violates our terms of service,” said Nicola Britton, of GoFundMe Australia.

“As a company, we are absolutely committed to the fight for equality for LGBTIQ+ people and fostering an environment of inclusivity. While we welcome GoFundMes engaging in diverse civil debate, we do not tolerate the promotion of discrimination or exclusion.

“Our platform exists to help people help others.”

Folau wishes to fight a case against Rugby Australia after his lucrative contract was revoked by the governing body due to Folau’s now infamous social media posts in which he outlined that all homosexuals will go to hell.
