The only question that should be asked is 'how much money will they make us?' Discriminating based on gender is just wrong.

My understanding was that she reviewed the content and it was male centric. She then looked at the writers and there were 5 * as many male writers selected compared to women. Thats not a balanced situation.

There could well be. Luckily such a team would be given the light, while a possible equally brilliant team will be discriminated against for their collective gender.

Comedy is a massively gender biassed area when it comes to women being fairly dealt with and represented. Sometimes intervention is needed to kick things into modern times

All that's "needed" is for it to be funny, and to make money.

A comedy which has great commercial potential and has a sense of humour which has wider subjectivity should come before something more niche, regardless of which genders have written which.

Comedy is under attack, and being forced to die off. I've been saying it for ages.

There is still some life online, but they're coming for that too.

A gender balance in comedy is always a good thing, the more women in writing teams the less sexist comedy get put on screen, however, I fail to remember the last time itv actually put a good comedy out so a refresh in writers is probably needed

History clearly tells us that men are just funnier than women.
