I miss how easy it is to get imported foods in Ireland.

Kate! 20-06-2019 02:36 AM

Everything. I'd be like Rachel on friends...."I got off the plane!"

Just how brilliantly nuts Welsh people generally are :laugh2:

I totally read that as "imported fools"

Depends where you went to I suppose but alot of times when I did spend any length of time away i missed the sense of humour of the people, not that other nationalities don't have a sense of humour of course but there's a specific type

Besides that tayto crisps and Barrys tea

I missed a lot of food thats readily available here. And the local chinese..chinese in greece was not good  Not that I found anyway, first thing I did when I got back was order a chinese and my god it tasted beautiful..

Besides food, I missed nothing. I missed sleep..but that was the job, not the living abroad thing

Edit. Obviously the never returned thing didnt go for me though. 6 month stint as just on season, but even then I missed food like mad, even after the first month!

:D

It was damn near impossible to get fullstop, there was literally one chinese takeaway on the whole island (zante) at the time, and I had to order it from Laganos to come to Tsilivi..and it was vile. I still got it every now and again because I crave chinese food a lot..but it was awful. There was an all you could eat buffet somewhere too..but too many of our guests had come down with food poisoning after eating there for me to dare try it, I craved good chinese yeah, but not enough to take such a big risk with food poisoning thanks!

It still baffles me really, how there was next to no chinese there tbh..

Everything. I can't imagine leaving the UK never to return.

Jake. 20-06-2019 09:37 PM

Honestly, not a lot (people aside). I could quite happily go live elsewhere for a while.
