Help me decide once and for all: Which is better, Chrome or Firefox?

Chrome has about 7 times the market share of Firefox, takes about a half to a third as much RAM (at least for me, anyway), starts up quicker (again, at least for me; and, yes, I do have Firefox Quantum), plays animated GIFs, animated PNGs, and HTML5 video much better, so I'm seriously tempted to choose Chrome. But then so many people I talk to seem to prefer Firefox, and also Chrome is of course Google so bye bye, privacy. Which do all you guys think I should go with?

Opera

The government knows how horny you are anyway why are you bothered bout privacy

Google Chrome.

But Opera is also very good because of the built-in VPN.

What browser do you use now btw?

Chrome by far, and the plugins you can have on it are a bonus.

Safari

Switch.

Only coders/programmers/hackers like Firefox.

Very true. Especially Session Manager/Buddy.

I used Firefox all the time years ago (I preferred the setup/look) but it always ended up crashing after a while so that would be why I'd switch between the two a bit.

Now I've realized Chrome >>>>>>>>>>>> Firefox so I just stick with it and don't have to deal with it crashing ever.

i only used Firefox out of both, and that was trash

i prefer to use microsoft edge, internet explorer 2019 now

Firefox, Chrome and Opera are all derivatives of the base Chromium browser. The Chromium browser is used in many apps that run on Mac and PC that we all use every day.

Basically, it very much depends on how much bloat you want in your browser. If what you want is speed, go for the basic Chromium browser

Chrome for everyday / normal use, Tor + VPN for anything else. None of the mainstream browsers guarantee privacy so you might as well stick with Chrome for ease of use and functionality.
