Great game so far Jake and its warming up nicely. Looking foward to completing my team and the exciting battle rounds.
Gutted I didn't quite manage to get One Direction but if they end up available for a steal I'll be straight in there :laugh: |

Dermot: It is battles time for Team Jake
Emma: At the end of this show just 6 of his contestants will make it through to the next round Dermot: So let's get on with our first battle first up Truly Ford vs Cody Frost: Out there by Sia Jake: I adore both of your voices you both have something special I'd like to work with both of you but if course I can only take one person through... The girl I would like to take through is Truly Ford Emma: Congratulations Truly you are through to the 3 seat challenge! Dermot: onto our second battle now and it's Laura White vs Jade Ellis: At last by Etta James Jake: aww girls you both smashed it I knew it would be a fantastic song choice for your voices but there is one girl in particular who shined tonight... The girl I want to take through is Laura White Dermot: Well done Laura your onto the 3 seat challenge sorry to see you go Jade Emma: The third battle of team Jake is Grace Davies vs Four of diamonds: Faded by Alan Walker Jake: I have to admit I struggled with a song choice that would fit both of these contestants but the reason I put them in a battle together is because Grace your used to doing original songs and four of diamonds you have that pop girl vibe going on. I think out of all my team your the two acts I wanted to bring out their comfort zone and challenge so I would know who had what it takes to succeed. Grace you did a great job of the song however I need an act that is versatile an act I can mentor to be better for that reason I'm putting through Four of diamonds! Emma: wow well done girls you seem suprised but your through to the 3 seat challenge Dermot: let's have our next battle now its Kevin Davy White vs Antony Russell: Giant by rag n bone man Jake: You both really suited the song however one of these acts I do feel would be a massive risk to work with and I don't see what lane of music you would be good at. The other is a true artist and deserves a place. The act I'm putting through is Kevin Davy White Dermot: aw Well done Kevin. See you at the* 3 seat challenge Emma: the next battle is brought to us by Saara Aalto vs Katie Waissel: Somebody to love by Queen Jake: I'm in tears right now. Ladies that was something so special right there. Your both really quirky there is so much personality on stage right now. I think I'd have fun working with both of you. However one of these contestants had stronger vocals and so the lady I'm taking through is Saara Aalto Emma: a great battle there congratulations saara see you at the 3 seat challenge Dermot: now onto the last battle from team Jake it's Deana Walmsley vs Rachel Adedeji: I say a little prayer by Aretha Franklin Jake: A beautiful battle right there you both have soul. Deana your a true musician you bring something special to the songs you sing. Rachel your vocals are great and your a true performer. I think I would struggle with song choices for one of these contestants so that's helped me make my mind up.
