Will Love Island ever move to the main ITV channel?

There were reports that bosses wanted to move it after last year's series, to be fair I think it's perfectly suited on ITV2 as they would have to drastically tone it down if it ever moved to there, sometimes less is more.

No it should stay where it is. In fact they have scheduled all their other shows to suit the target audience around love island. Basically love island is the bees knees of itv2. I don't think it would get the same special treatment on itv1

They've drastically toned it down as it is, haven't they? I've been reading articles about the U.S. version and how they've had to tone down the "raunchiness" as if our version hasn't become completely tame already (lack of censorship aside)

The show doesnt work on ITV1 they already know that

Also it would be moved to 11pm as they wont give it priority over new drams or existing dramas or the news

:fan:

basically they know love Island has got a good fanbase at itv2, the same people who also watch x factor, the voice, i'm a celeb

german channels it's like eurovision national final is broadcast at 1 or ARD, but it's eurovision final is broadcast at NDR, bit confusing

RTL+ has shows like let's dance, i'm a celeb, german idols (DSDS), Bauer sucht frau (farmer seeks wife)

Sat.1 has the voice of Germany, the voice kids, the voice senior, dancing on ice

what i mean and i understand you, they know where their shows can get good viewer ratings putting shows at the right channel

same with strictly doing well at BBC, while it would not do well at another channel, or the apprentice also doing well at BBC, Masterchef same goes for that

They wouldn’t really need to would they I mean it’s a show that attracts mainly a young demographic, which is what ITV2 programs mainly aim at anyways. Plus it pulls in good ratings for the channel something that could hinder it if they moved LI to ITV1. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
