Yes. How travellers treat horses is revolting.

Before anyone starts, I am aware some treat their animals well but all I have ever seen is neglect.

Yes any sport using animals is barbaric and cruelty goes on.

I agree...

Not to mention a total disregard for anyone living in the town already...some horses have drowned in the local river due to thier customs

Where I live travellers tied a horse (female just given birth) to a post next to the railway pass for almost a week, people began to feed it and moved it further away from the rails. A lady saved it as it was clearly abandoned and covered in blood. She cleaned it up and got it healthy again and then the travellers claimed she stole it.

Recently as a few months ago in this area a horse was eventually removed from a traveller because it collapsed in a car park.

Makes me sick to my stomach.

No I think it'd be discriminatory

Appleby is a bit different....it's a bit like say....you must know the game fable.

It's more a selling market...the horses are sold for thousands...but you can by all sorts there..like walking sticks and chickens..etc....

But the have to endanger the horses to show how good they are so they get the best price for them...and nothing will stop them doing that....

But this all happens in a small towns streets....which isn't fair to its residents..as well as the animals..

The pubs do well...but it always ends up like a Saturday afternoon at the football in the 80s at shutting time...Maggie stamped that out ...about time someone ensured animal safety and residents security before this should be allowed to go on.
