They need to go international again we last won with a foreigner so it's worth another try

Denver 16-09-2019 07:39 PM

Though I can see the Belinda Carlisle rumours popping up again

Black Dagger 16-09-2019 08:03 PM

It's a power move. BMG are an upcoming label and they will want some thing credible at least. I'm optimistic but surely likely to be let down when it's another stage school bitch with a twee song who isn't head strong enough to say she wants creative input x

Denver 16-09-2019 09:16 PM

So it turns out they produced Heroes for Mans so now I'm even more certain he will do it

foreigner

/ˈfɒrɪnə/

noun

1.

a person born in or coming from a country other than one's own.

Samm 16-09-2019 11:31 PM

hun you don’t need to pull out the google description, comparing katrina to mans is a reach, she lived in the UK for a good few years before eurovison and for us to grab a previous popular winner from another country entirely as our act would be bizarre and embarrassing..

Denver 16-09-2019 11:33 PM

I mean Mans has lived in the UK for a long while and has a british wife

Denver 16-09-2019 11:33 PM

And has said before he would happily represent the UK

Samm 16-09-2019 11:36 PM

we wouldn’t win.

all what is needed is some fresh talent, with a different that stands out and not our usual big ballad with a pop spin on it

+1

yes send a modern uptempo song for once

i'm pretty sure Sigala and a fresh new singer would do well for UK at eurovision, since his music is very much current, and not a washed up ballad from the 90's like a bigger than us, or a annie lennox tribute act SuRie

Nicky91 17-09-2019 07:51 AM

NOOOOOOOOOOOO, why Rick why release a song now very conveniently within the song submission deadline

pls BBC don't select him, it is a must now to not to continue on the outdated music path, but to walk other paths, modern current uptempo songs can do better for uk bbc

Denver 17-09-2019 11:22 PM

Culture club anyone? They are signed to BMG and are very Eurovisiony

Alf 17-09-2019 11:40 PM

The public can't be trusted, and people who know better than you will make the decision. Be quiet public.

They'll soon find out that the real reason we do sh1t is because all the other countries who vote, are xenophobic tw@s when it comes to us.

Headie 18-09-2019 12:39 AM

I just looked at some of their current artists and didn't realise Ray BLK was signed to them. She won BBC's Sound of 2017 and was the opening act of Nicki's UK tour, she has loads of bops out already, been stanning ha for a while but don't think she's the type who'd do Eurovision tbh. Would be a great choice though if they could convince her!

Headie 18-09-2019 12:43 AM

Oop Mabel is also signed to them, throw all the cash her way and get ha on! :clap1:

you'll do better once you send something modern, what appeals to today's youth

and that isn't any of uk's outdated trash like storm, bigger than us

Headie 19-09-2019 10:00 PM

Oh they're responsible for this viral tik-tok song :skull:

Jay28jay2 29-09-2019 02:49 PM

I really hope this pays off. I feel optomistic but I do every year, however because of the change to internal selection it sounds promising. BBC, don't mess this up.

To be fair, I feel like any of the artists in this record label will only want to sing a decent song they feel that will do well. I just want to see us do well, left side of the table or even top 10. I don't think we'll win but I just want it to happen sometime in my lifetime.

Headie 08-10-2019 12:24 AM

So Fleur has a new song coming out with BMG :eyes:
