FF8 Remaster
 

Honestly probably the best FF remaster so far? They've somehow dramatically upped the textures on the sprites while still making them fit with the original backgrounds :think:. It works better than I had expected and honestly the low res sprites in FF8 were hilariously bad at times... having a lot of fun replaying for platinum (which will be effortless - I played this game TO DEATH in my teens and could 100% it in my sleep, plus you can skip random battles and FF8 requires zero exp grind so...)

Though how will I beat Omega without using the open-disc-tray Selphie cheat :umm2:...

Oh also... :joker: ... turns out that a couple of the poor students in the SeeD class aren't real students - they're painted onto the BG! And, they're painted on in deliberately crappy res so that they wouldn't stand out against the old crappy res sprites. So now with the new sprites, they look deformed. Heh.
