Handy boris facts

Enjoy!...

'Since Johnson launched his Tory leadership bid – just over 100 days ago – he has lied and misled his Party, Parliament and the public at least 80 times.'

https://insider.labour.org.uk/factch...johnson-lying/

arista 06-10-2019 10:57 AM

[Johnson suggested that one of the reasons why he wanted a Queen’s Speech was to pass the Domestic Abuse Bill.
25 September 2019]

Hang on Kizzy that was Debated last week.

He could not do his Queens Speech
As Labour got the Courts to Stop Him

Now the Queens Speech arrives next week

Handy Collection
of "some" rubbish info.

Oliver_W 06-10-2019 11:12 AM

Some of these are scraping the barrel a bit.

"Boris said Oxford were on the verge of something, BUT ACKSHULLY it will take about 30 years!"

"Boris said 30 new hospitals would be built without saying in what time scale, but ACKSHULY it won't be until 2025!!!"

This site could have been handy, but it soiled the bed a bit. Maybe they should have only included outright lies, rather than language policing and including things which are still in the air.

parmnion 06-10-2019 11:16 AM

Nothing new...MPs have been doing this since the house of commons was built..on all sides..

It includes examples of misleading information. .That's what saying things are imminent when they'll take 30 years is.

i would say Corbyn has lied or misled more than 80 times on the subject of antisemitism alone.

It was initially due to be debated in the middle of the prorogation period, so if he'd have wanted it passed he couldve kept parliament open debated it and passed it by now :/
It's very interesting info imo.

That's just word games. I'd respect the list a whole lot more if it shown ten outright LIES instead of picking at political language.

Marsh. 06-10-2019 12:46 PM

"Political language" = lies

Alf 06-10-2019 12:52 PM

It could be worse, he could be trying to deny the will of the people.

What did they vote for?

Give me a factual answer.

Twosugars 06-10-2019 02:05 PM

To leave with a deal

That's not factual, is it?

Show me that exact question on the ballot paper, if you believe that's true.

Twosugars 06-10-2019 02:09 PM

That's what was promised.

If you want to go literal we can leave the eu but stay in the single market and customs union bc they are separate things :D

Twosugars 06-10-2019 02:10 PM

Nobody asked about leaving single market or customs union on the ballot so we are staying in those

As far as the people knew, they only signed up to be in the single market.

Why does the single market need a President, a flag, an anthem and have aspirations for an army?

That's right, you are correct.

This parliament was elected a year after the referendum
It took away the Con overall majority.
Making it a hung Parliament.
With not one MP who stood on a Party manifesto advocating leaving with, no deal.
Being elected in that election.
Not one.
UKIP slipping badly too.

Even the DUP weren't standing on a no deal brexit.
All Parties against same.

So this parliament is doing the will of the voters who elected it just 2+ years ago.

"No deal is better than a bad deal" was in the Tory manifesto. We tried a deal, but it turned out to be a bad deal, so what now?

Vicky. 06-10-2019 02:28 PM

Its trump all over again..I remember a few stories about how he had already blatantly lied hundreds of times in his first month..or something

Having said that, politicians are not exactly known for their honesty..
