Bloody good on them

Didn’t Kelvin wanna skate with Matt too?

Great move for the show imo!

Is there an LGBT girl in the cast or will Matt just take the place of one of the female pros?

We wanted Saara and... a woman last year! (I'm not invested enough to google any of the lady pros' names)

Barry. 08-10-2019 11:21 PM

Oh good. I like that.

I’m assuming one of the female pros, apparently Matej is back (with Trisha)

Probably in the minority here but as a gay man myself I struggle to really see the point of this? I mean do what you want and all but I don’t really see how your sexuality should make a difference with who you should dance with professionally, especially as there’s not supposed to be any romantic connotation involved (although I guess that’s debatable really)

Anyways men and women general have different natural body types so artistically I don’t really see the point of this or what is wrong with a gay man dancing with a straight woman or vice versa.

Its not like H and matt are married or a couple or anything (or are they?) but if they were I would have a different opinion on this. But in the professional sense, can someone explain to me the point? :joker:

H just didn't want to do the heavy lifting and wanted someone to lift him.

Whatever will it be next, two women dancing together :fist::rant::mad:

Vanessa 07-01-2020 06:32 PM

I think they were good, but Barrowman crying about it wa sway over the top.
The show needs to be about skating, not about only one couple. :fist:

Nothing is wrong with opposite sex couples dancing.
But theres also nothing wrong with same sex couples dancing.
That is the point of this introduction.

Re artistic merits, it's more to do with the fact that that's what we are used to.

Look at dancing in other styles, same sex groups like Diversity or modern ballet. Nobody complains theres same sex dancing there.
Let's have some of that on ice or in the ballroom.

parmnion 07-01-2020 06:54 PM

Surely they could have got a better coupling.

LeatherTrumpet 07-01-2020 06:58 PM

just for ratings for a failing show
