Anyone watching? The pros is the only one I watch each year. Not too keen on the amateurs and can only watch the celebs if I like them so tuned out after Jenny was eliminated

Its unfair when they split the skiils test. They should have them all do the same one.

LaLaLand 05-11-2019 09:04 PM

Omg had no idea!

Will watch it in a bit on catch up!

Mystic Mock 05-11-2019 10:47 PM

It's my favorite version of Masterchef.

I could never eat Pigeon though.

LaLaLand 05-11-2019 11:48 PM

Watching now - wow none of them are shining in the initial tasks set by Monica and Marcus are they!

GiRTh 05-11-2019 11:59 PM

Theres always one who bigs themselves up but has no idea. The guy with the poached fish and plantain cracked me up.

Twosugars 06-11-2019 12:02 AM

Tbh I liked his idea of having salmon roe with passion fruit but it didnt belong on that plate.

GiRTh 06-11-2019 07:11 PM

On now.

That was a hard test. I've never heard of that dish

Vanessa 06-11-2019 07:15 PM

The skill test always goes wrong :joker:

GiRTh 06-11-2019 07:16 PM

You always get one absolutely clueless cook. Feel a bit sorry for that guy, he looked like he was close to tears. I wonder, if they've never made the dish before why dont they ask the judges for a few clues.

Always. The first guy was good though. These last two have been hopeless.

Vanessa 06-11-2019 07:17 PM

Most of the time it's just nerves.

GiRTh 06-11-2019 07:19 PM

Two skills test. They should stick to just one for everyone

GiRTh 06-11-2019 07:24 PM

Monica test is easier.

GiRTh 06-11-2019 07:27 PM

This guys got the right idea. Ask the judges if they dont know.

GiRTh 12-11-2019 07:11 PM

On now.

Started with a profession chef who doesnt know what spatchcock means.

GiRTh 12-11-2019 07:27 PM

They've all been useless so far.

How they select them?

GiRTh 12-11-2019 07:45 PM

All three didnt cook the quail and two didnt know what what spatchcock means.

Twosugars 12-11-2019 08:26 PM

Wouldn't you make sure you know the basics and not go on tv and make yourself look a complete tit?

GiRTh 12-11-2019 09:17 PM

Did you watch it last week? They had the obligatory chef who was going to elevate his home countries cuisine to the level of fine dining, They have one each year and each year I roll my eyes as they get fumble thru the skills test. I doubt some of these chefs even work in restaurants.

Twosugars 12-11-2019 09:54 PM

Yeah i did watch it.

GiRTh 28-11-2019 07:48 PM

Just realised one of the judges is Tracey MCleod. Famous for this live TV classic

'Amma-Chers, Amma-chers' :laugh2:
