TiBB's Top Song of 2019 is "Juice" by Lizzo!
TiBB'S TOP SONG OF 2019 Welcome to the Top Song of 2019. If you're not sure of what this whole thing is, here are a few links to competitions of previous years: 2019: "Juice" by Lizzo 2018: "No Tears Left to Cry" by Ariana Grande 2017: "Green Light" by Lorde 2016: "Into You" by Ariana Grande 2015: "Run Away With Me" by Carly Rae Jepsen 2014: "Chandelier" by Sia 2013: "Work" by Iggy Azalea 2012: "Pyramids" by Frank Ocean 2011: "Midnight City" by M83 2010: "What's My Name (feat. Drake)" by Rihanna 2009: "Sweet Disposition" by the Temper Trap 2008: "Womanizer" by Britney Spears RULES (For the Regular Competition) - For the early rounds, you may only vote for a maximum of two songs per artist. This game gets quite boring when dominated by stans. This'll become defunct in the later rounds when there most likely will only be one per artist remaining in the game. - You must have 100 posts to participate. I'm not allowing multis :nono: - Most rounds are just to vote for your favourites, but some will require 'negative' votes. These should be approached voluntarily rather than as mandatory, and members should only vote for songs they actively dislike rather than ones they don't like/might pick tactically. - The final will consist of ten songs that're ranked by everyone on the basis of "10pts for the 1st place", "1pt for the 10th place" and so on. Songs originally released prior to January 1 - either as a single, or on an album released before July 2018 - have been removed. Also, songs that have appeared in previous editions of this game cannot count. And finally, re-releases of songs don't count (sorry, Mariah Carey and everyone else with a Christmas song). To save the list from becoming too repetitive, artists are restricted to just their 3 highest-charting songs. In the event of songs charting at the same place, only the song that charted first chronologically was included. This rule has only affected Stormzy, Billie Eilish, Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran, Lewis Capaldi and Post Malone, this year. So here's how it will work.. PRELIMINARY ROUND I've compiled a list of 205 songs below, picked from singles that:
Round 1: Out of the full qualified list, each member can choose their favourite TWENTY songs. The songs that get any votes will move onto Round 2. You cannot choose all 3 songs by an artist; a maximum of 2 per artist is enforced in the early rounds to keep it free from the pop stans :p All later rules are struck-out for now, because we don't know the full numbers of what makes it through Round 1 yet. Round 2: 50 songs only received one vote in the first round. To prevent them becoming surplus to requirement, only a handful can make it to round 3. Each member can choose their favourite SEVEN of them. Round 3: Out of the top 128 each member can choose their favourite FIFTEEN songs. NEW RULE PART HOPE YOU'RE READING X: You can also choose THREE songs you dislike and want eliminated from the competition. REMEMBER: only pick songs you actively dislike. Don't go trying to pick the faves of people you want to annoy, or any songs you haven't even bothered to listen to :nono: ONLY songs you dislike. You don't even have to do this if you want to keep it positive! Each "fave" vote is a positive point, each "purple" vote means that song loses a point. All songs with an end-of-round positive score of 1 or more will proceed. Round 4: Out of the top 78 songs, each member can choose their favourite TWELVE songs. Round 5: Out of the top 53, each member can choose their favourite TEN songs, and also their LEAST FAVOURITE TWO. In the 'least favourite' voting you can only choose one song per artist. Round 6: Out of the top 37, each member can choose their favourite EIGHT songs. Round 7: Out of the top 25, each member can choose their favourite FIVE songs and their LEAST FAVOURITE ONE. ----------------------------------- Round Seven (25 songs remaining) Quote:

That's OK. BTW for everyone participating, please don't edit your old posts with new votes / suggestions, because there's a strong chance I'll miss something in an old post whilst keeping up with everyone's new ones.

Piece of your heart - Meduza, Goodboys
Don’t feel like crying - Sigrid Bad Guy - Billie Eilish |
I will happily support anyone who suggests Lana's NFR, Hope is a Dangerous..., or California.
Doin' Time is good but not as good as those three. Edit: Liam, those songs all charted high this year and are therefore through to the proper game. This round is just for suggesting songs that flopped in the charts but we still stan :spin2: |
