I’m sure the strictly production team know better about their show and safety procedures than a random bloke from the Netherlands does

i can also see this happen when this is ongoing, the dangers of one member of cast and/or crew being infected especially in untrustworthy britain

Germany i do trust with my life, i am actually sad i do not live over there rather than my **** hellhole of a netherlands

no, just hope he makes a speedy recovery, and is well in time before launch show

in a last resort he could film his VT for launch show from home  if necessary of course

good that the production team immediately took action and has him quarantined, and in home isolation

and as he is very young, his survival chance is quite high

The YouTuber tested positive on Monday and received his results on Tuesday, hence his confusion as to the quarantine period. Strictly stars are tested twice weekly.

A spokesperson for Strictly told MailOnline on Friday: 'We can confirm that a member of the Strictly team has tested positive for coronavirus and they are now self-isolating at home following the latest government guidelines.

'We have rigorous protocols in place to manage Covid-19 as the safety of all those involved in the production is paramount.

'We briefed that we are still in pre-production and all celebs are tested regularly. We said we would not reveal the name of individual for private health reasons but they are feeling well.

'We also briefed that the celeb will be taking part in the launch show (pending a negative test result) and that they only came into contact with a handful of production crew, who were then isolated and tested, therefore minimal impact on production.'
sorry if i stole it from DS, but i felt like this needed to be shared here too

I was confused with this story last night because when you get corona you have to self isolate for 14 days but why is it 7 days for strictly?

**** knows, but I’m sure strictly know what they’re doing, otherwise he only misses the launch in person and can really do it via video link

I hope so but apparently pre show and during show they won't be in quarantine which is a bit risky?

but if anything happens like this series is cancelled half way I hope the remaining celebs can return next year.

I do agree this isn't a strong line up and i wouldn't have bothered if it wasn't for Maisie but i wasn't expecting a good line up due to covid but it would be ****ty some of them wouldn't have the full strictly experience if this was cancelled so they should have the chance next year.

Mitchell 02-10-2020 04:36 PM

This line up is super strong compared to the last 2 years

12 is a weak number of celebs too

and i was hoping for some other royalty follow-up after viscountess, lady amelia windsor but i have hopes she might do it another year

Caroline and Bill are better known celebrities than anyone thats been on the show since 2016, easily.

ok maybe Caroline but Bill well they can sign more known comedians

Nicky91 02-10-2020 04:55 PM

Jo Brand would easily do strictly i'm sure

i also think one of more ''higher profile'' realistic to sign actresses is Elizabeth Hurley, i mean she is not too out of reach a-lister celeb (also very current too given she has a lead in The Royals)

"I think it just eats your soul. I've been asked to do it quite a few times, I asked Colin Jackson what it's like. He said the problem is that one or two people take it really seriously and then everyone feels like they have to. So you're not doing your expected five hours a day, there's people getting there at 5am and working til 7 or 8 at night.

And Liz is way too busy, but could you take this to another thread rather than derail Harvey’s fan club please x
