Disney+ is hiking the price up

They are increasing it from £5.99 to £7.99 next month

Nicky91 09-01-2021 02:13 PM

*watch it getting the praise for making the price go up*

Black Dagger 09-01-2021 02:20 PM

I mean that's been common knowledge for a few days. They're adding a new service.

Youre actually a moron lol

Nicky91 09-01-2021 02:28 PM

also idk why they need to up their price, since 5.99 across millions of british customers is still a ****load of money

but then again this is so predictable of Disney, all they do is ''take take take'' like the greedy bitches they are

hope Disney+ will be destroyed internally, by someone who wants a new streaming company with Marvel in its title (bc the only thing worth saving out of disney+ is marvel content)

Marvel+ i can easily imagine it and i'd easily subscribe for it too without overthinking

Ramsay 09-01-2021 02:29 PM

As Lucas said, they're adding Star so worth it imo to watch 24 and Xfiles

Tom4784 09-01-2021 02:31 PM

I paid for the year back when it was on offer, I'll probably switch to monthly when it's up in March although I might unsubscribe for a while depending on how frequent new content gets added.

bitontheslide 09-01-2021 03:00 PM

nobody is forced to subscribe

Novo 09-01-2021 03:09 PM

always going to happen, not like their is anything better to spend money on these days, spend that in a pub without blinking an eye don't you in normal circumstances

i mean why subscribe to something what gives you a lot of older series content (some of which like X-Files is being broadcast a lot over here on tv channels too)

and i think millions of people have already seen 24 many times too, and if they love it so much, they can also buy the dvd box of that

Ramsay 09-01-2021 03:47 PM

Why spend 50ish quid on a 24 box set when I can use that money for a year of disney+ that gives me that and much much more

Ramsay 09-01-2021 03:48 PM

Anyway mandalorian is so good it's worth the price in itself

That's the best way to look at it really, it's also why I have a couple of games developer subs on PC now too. £10 a month sounds steep, but basically, if you'd buy 3 or more of that dev's games at launch then you'd spend more buying them. And you usually get the "ultimate edition" plus all the DLC's etc included.

Same goes for streaming. If there are a couple of series on Prime that you'd buy on DVD then the subscription doesn't actually cost any more than what you'd have been paying anyway.

I currently have 5 subs... 6 I guess if you count PS+, and pay in total about £50 a month. I don't think that's an unreasonable spend for that amount of content at all. I mean... It's less than ONE night out for one person, or a meal out for a family.

Toy Soldier 09-01-2021 04:15 PM

That said I got the special pre-order deal for Disney that was like £35 for the whole year and that will run out in a few months :worry:

Amy Jade 09-01-2021 07:26 PM

I cancelled last months, not enough content for my taste really and I hate how they censor movies but if there is loads of content coming £8 isn't unreasonable

Smithy 09-01-2021 07:36 PM

I cancelled in Dec but with the Fox library being added I might get it back

Smithy 09-01-2021 07:37 PM

Actually I say that oomf signed in on my Roku so I can just use their account :hee:
