Unless you are having gravy on the chips. Then, just salt, or nothing.

Just salt. Salt enhances the flavour, vinegar just ruins the taste and texture of chips by making them too soft

I have vinegar on chips, cheese and gravy too

I feel like that would be vile. But cannot eat cheese so dont know!

My husband puts tomato sauce, and vinegar on gravy and chips though and it makes me feel ill. He also will put ketchup on sundays dinners man...just..what a freak!

No vinegar, just salt.

Never heard anyone put vinegar on chips/french fries.

I have vinegar with everything, I put in on plain crisps and have plain bread dipped in vinegar I'm a weird eater

That sounds potentially ok actualy. I love vinegar. I could drink it on its own in small amounts tbh, and did as a kid. Never have as an adult though..as I know its Very Bad!

The smell of vinegar makes me feel sick. Just salt is fine for me.
