Should there be another series of Line of Duty?

I say yes but only one more.

The ending was too lacklustre for me.

Poll incoming.

While this season of Line of Duty has scored record ratings, it can’t keep relying on the
past to retain viewers’ interest. We need a new, non-balaclava-wearing threat, real
jeopardy for our central characters, and the thrill of the unexpected. Then we’ll be cooking
with gas.

Absolutely.

There’s just something not right and we still have so many unanswered questions.

smudgie 03-05-2021 06:13 PM

Yes.
Something new to concentrate on now we know H is sorted.
Plenty to look into with Carmichael and Andrea for starters.

We need to know about Hastings Freemasons link

Marsh. 03-05-2021 08:24 PM

As long as we go back to the series 1 to 4 model of self contained stories. Some links are fine but 5 and 6 did it far too much and it left the guest stars of Stephen Graham and Kelly Macdonald without the development of the likes of Tony Gates and Lindsay Denton. It was like the show had twisted itself up a couple too many times.

So the nature of the show means there's plenty life left in it yet, even moreso if it's branching beyond the confines of the H saga.

A lot of potential with Carmichael being part of the team and Osbourne still holding office.

There just had to be. Ending such a fantastic series on such a damp note will just taint it forever. Even if it’s just one final series, we need something.

Plus there’s still a few loose ends to tie up.

Don't think I'll bother watching another it had a few exciting scenes but most of it was boring or went over my head so Im not bothered if they make another or not. But they probably will do
