Thanksgiving Break!

It's pretty much here, since tomorrow's a half day at school.

So I get the rest of the week off!

No comments about how fat/rude Americans are. Not all British people are posh and drink tea every waking minute of the day.

WE AIN'T ALL DA SAME. DUN BE DISREPECTIN'!

Scarlett. 24-11-2008 09:12 PM

On Thanksgiving Day (this Thursday), Americans all have their own feast at home where they celebrate the Pilgrims and Indians' feast many years ago, my friend. They ate with no forks, only spoons, knives, and fingers.

Which reminds me, I should rent my favorite Thanksgiving movie: Planes, Trains, and Automobiles!

Wildcat! 24-11-2008 09:14 PM

Yep, its almost here. I am off to Arizona on Wednesday! Yaaay!!! Some sunshine at last!

And happy turkey day to everyone.

the closest we get to thanksgiving is the harvest festival in primary school where you have to take in a tin of peas and then the school split it up between all the old people :laugh3:

Replace the cranberry sauce with cranberry juice, the actual turkey with shredded turkey, the potatoes with french fries (or "chips") ...or chips ("crisps), and then just eat grass for squash/green beans, and you can have your own feast!

French fries are skinny though, chips are quite fat. I've never got my head around why you don't have 2 separate names :puzzled::joker:

Harvest... harvest... come along. JOIN WITH ME IN THIS HARVEST SONG. :dazzler:

It worked like a crescendo kind of, people joined in halfway through. Haha. AND we had to design our own bonnets (or was that for easter?).
