I know of a lot of people that wouldn't come back because of Katie Waissel, and to a lesser extent Cher Lloyd as they just didn't like them, were they the sole factors as to why series 8 lost ratings...

Series 7 was averaging about 15 million viewers weren't it? and at it's highest could even reach just under 20 million.

Series 8 never got anywhere near those numbers.
