I gave it a whirl with the 3D on in a Tomodachi life and it's actually made me want to keep the 3D slider on full.

I save the queen too, the effects of your choice don't really matter until something happens to do with the rachni in the 3rd game. Then whatever choice you made in this game reflects on that choice....
