It's good IMO, but not to be taken overly seriously, it's best defined as a dark comedy. Some of the situations are obviously unrealistic but it's knowingly so, if that makes sense.

I think he was fairly content with the video evidence of the drowning being enough to keep him safe, but he got the idea in his head that (ironically) Beck wasn't "safe" with Benji around, though...

I actually think there were a lot of Dexter nods / inspiration but LT the point was that he was NOT tidy or efficient like Dexter, he was actually a total mess and left a tonne of physical and DNA...
