Big Brother winner Josie Gibson is facing a backlash after sharing an Instagram video of an unnamed couple dressed as serial killers Fred and Rose West.

Alongside the now-deleted video, Josie wrote: "Couple goals! #halloweencostume #halloween #halloweencouplecostume #halloweencouple #halloweencouples."

Josie's followers were outraged, with some criticising her for sharing a video of people dressed as murderers, and others upset that she captioned the post "couple goals".



One wrote: "Oh this is just awful. These child murderers tortured young girls and raped them including their daughter sorry just nothing funny about this at all. In such bad taste."

Another posted: "You must be a very sick person if you think this is funny, you do know what he did? What he did to his own daughters? And other victims?"

"Couple goals???? What a bloody ridiculous thing to post," a third said.

In response, Josie deleted the post and apologised on Twitter. "I've taken it down now and I didn't mean couple goals as in Rosemary and Fred I meant couple goals as in the couple that dressed as them for halloween as they are very funny together.

"I just saw the costume. Sorry if you are offended."

She added on Instagram: "I realise I've upset most of Instagram tonight with my Rosemary and Fred west video, I obviously didn't mean couple goals as in Rosemary and Fred West.

"I meant couple goals as in the couple who dressed as them as I thought they were very funny together. Anyway just to lighten the mood I present to you labyrinth David Bowie eat your heart out! #halloweencostume#halloween #labrynth #davidbowie."
