It ended with a dull thud anyway. In a show that was based on the premise of seeing people "warts 'n' all" and then the public voting for who they want to remove, and who they want to win... the final season ended with the person who would clearly have been voted to win being ejected a week before the final, and the finale being meaningless garbage that hardly anyone bothered to watch.
Whether people personally liked Lewis or not, there's really no two ways about it... the way it ended was a joke
. Although strangely poetic, I suppose, as it summed up nicely all the ways in which the show went wrong over the years and slowly killed itself.
