A section of France want out, but 61% of the public believe the EU has been a benefit to their nation, so that's not true.
Italy is a different case as they've always
toyed with right/far right politics (I'm being kind), and to expand on this further, a politician was recently discovered to have been personally funded by Putin, who would definitely be a major beneficiary from the collapse of the EU.
