it is legally binding, what they would have to do to get out of it is prove the EU acted in bad faith which is probably next to impossible.

I haven't changed my opinion from earlier, i think this vote will fail, and we will end up rejecting no deal brexit and then go looking for an extension. The EU will not accept a short extension, so the choice will then be let it drag on for up to 2 more years or reluctantly accept May's deal. I think at that point, May's deal will get passed.
